Hey holy roller.......the bike has done about 1000km...and the owner is in the business, I don't know him well but I suppose he has a reputation to keep. I saw the bike before I left and it was in perfect condition.... I won't be doing very technical rides as I am a social rider..

Hey all....I am looking at buying my first MTB and have found a 2nd hand Scott S30 at a really good price. The only thing I am not sure of is that it has a Carbon frame...any comments?

Thats if you can get there... last week the Angolans stopped all EU airline flights in and out of Angola' date=' tit for tat because the EU banned TAG (Angola's national airline) from flying to EU - result is major hassles for ex pat contractors to get into Angola - hopefully will return to normal sometime soon. Hey Hendrik, That's life..I have said cheers to a stack of good mates here due to the incompetence of the local contractors. Our company is international but has a policy of only keeping chaps here for 2 years..???..somehow I seem to be paying for sins in my other life by being in my 6th year..I have indicated that this is my last though..I think Angola is on the cards...

A quick question concerning Muxmans first post...how do you know when to stop ugrading your bike? surely at some point it becomes a morris minor with mercedes accesories, but it's still a morris minor? Or at that stage do you just invest in a new Frame?

Also a none MTB dude (but will be starting soon)/ daft question but will that bike need a special Cannondale rim to fit onto the shock? or are there other bikes with the same systems?

I am no expert on bikes but do deal with stresses involved with towing underwater survey equipment offshore, I think If the top tube was bent the frame would have been shot. I agree that that looks purley cosmetic..

It is a viscious circle...you create a governing body to protect against these factors but that governing body needs to be paid, someone needs to be in charge, they create rules to allow people from all backgrounds to have a chance to participate and then WHALLA - you have just commisioned SARFU.......
