Would i be able to build non shimano rims onto these hubs (16 front and 20 rear)? Where would i get rims 38 or 50mm carbon clinchers?

you have probably been riding like this for a while with the one cleat being looser than the other best to just leave it alone experiment with adjustment next week. Besides the yellow cleats are not supposed to be fixed rather they have some float.

Its was actually a guy with CTG top on that collided with me. It all happen in my blindspot so i cant say what exactly happen. I rode with Spartan chaps from the start and was enjoying it. Today i did The bay city. I was feeling jittery in the bunches and on downhills. So ended up just sitting @ back and hanging on as long as could. was happy just to finish today in one piece irrespective of time. No hard feelings on my side. **** happens and i get to upgrade my bike

yes i crashed there today. Guys just had minor grazes and bruises. It was soon after turning off the R45 onto R44. the guy to left of me fell and took me out and i went sliding on my left and of course two guys came over me from behind. My Foil`s DA C50 rear wheel busted, sti,rd, seat , i not inspect frame properly and just dropped it at my LBS as i was so pissed. Not been great season. Crashed on training ride on Cobra weekend and damaged my Orbea and was off with injured hip and shoulder till 99er and cracked @vissershok. The funny thing is this morning I was putting on the bib i crashed in a month ago, for second there I was feeling superstitious and did not want to wear it.

Personally i really dislike races that descends Smits like Cobra as i find it simply to nerve wrecking to descend with a whole bunch who is trying to make up time. Never done the Cobra. what was different yesterday compared to the last few editions was the SE was not blowing which normally acts as a safety valve and trim the group sizes before cape point instead the NW was blowing and therfore you had these huge groups going down Smits. maybe they should but marshalls on smits just to calm traffic also. Cyclelab starting the race @730 just to accomadate the 30km ride is ridiculous and frankly unsafe because @ after nine round cape point/simons town you have a much bigger traffic volume. IF the long ride had started first the motorbike would simply not have been there. i think they must rethink this as it is a league ride and will always be well attended. I wonder how many people actually did the 30km?

Yes for the short periods we saw them. I was happy to ride with you the other guys were total machines

Now you know why the guys are paying 5k extra. It looks very much like a stale corporate emblem that you iron on t-shirts. It does not evoke any passion or enables you to identify with the cyclist taking on the challenge.Man against terrain. This definately is not invoke by the chainrings it looks more like the wheels on mineshafts. What Kevin is basically saying is that what started out as challenge for cyclist is now secondary to the brand which has more inherent value than the actual race participants. So expect to pay even more next year since he aint gonna share any increased revenue from the brand. Here cape town is the design city and you put out such a crappy logo. Our mountain is being voted (plz go vote) for one of the new 7wonders and you wont even make the outline accross the word Cape thus connecting yourself with this. i wonder how much they got paid for this R1mil?

since the is a mere 20yr difference between me and Mtb roadie,I still think it has been more prudent for me not to go up the full amount in one go. it has given my muscles a bit of time to adjust. I have now gone up a bit more to(2.5cm in total 5mm to go). i will see how it goes. it does feel like i am using different muscle and the position feels very much like bum up and head down.

Thanks you answered my question that it will be a bit Eina. I went for a 80km ride and my legs were feeling better than on sat ride. I will in next week lift it up a bit more.

I had a bike fitting done with ergofit2 and the recommendation is that my seatpost height should be 2.5cm higher than i normally ride. i pushed it half this amount on sat and found that i my legs were really sore after the ride. i however did not feel overstretched. Must i persist and do some stretching and hopefully it will settle? i did the competitive cyclist fitting and it projected that i should lift my seat 5-6mm which is still 2cm less than ergofit. what to do? I did the one tonner with my old setting and i was fine legs was just a bit busted at 130 but it stands to reason.

The look on my wife`s face when she looked @ a pair of Cristian Laboutan shoes two weeks ago was exactly the same look i had looking at the Scott Foil. So I bought her the shoes. I got my Scott Foil 10 yesterday .

You right for the spec its a good price. I am more looking at the Foil 20 though with ultegra. was hoping someone has been riding one.

The looks of the Foil is starting to grow on me. I also realise that i will probably not be able to discern the aero and increased stiffness of frame. My only concern really is how comfortable the frame rides. Got any experience riding this frame?
