i think the michelin lithion on sale @cwc for R190 is also a good bet. lots of my friends are riding them and say they roll well. They are more hard wearing than the pro race 3. BTW they were revieved in the latest Bicycling mag. a common cause for multiple puncture is worn rim tape so replace this as well.

I think that the biggest problem is that in the PPA bases everything on weather conditions and terrain. They do not account at all for improvement in fitness of riders thus they are posting better times than say a year ago or three months ago. They then compare your index to the supposed gold standard( flawed Argus data) and they conclude that it cant be that you improved but the race was to easy therefore decrease your index dramatically. The model then does not encourage improvement rather it discourages it. the case in point is the indeces people got for Engen 2009 and Burger 2009. while i think there was a difference in the weather conditions the wide variance in index between similar times is difficult to explain.

I personally think that the Reba is plusher than a Sid and easier to dial in.

The FD is not so sharp as Shimano. You have trim on the big blade. a good mechanic can set it but even then u can still have issues with the small blade and small cog. i previously put the little metal washer you get on a bicycle tube in to the rear of the FD which made it easy to run all gears easily at the back on the small blade.

CWC actually have had an ongoing ad on the hub for a long time and are directly supporting this forum in that way.So its fine by me if they post like this. There are lots of other shops/people trading in bikes, who dont have ads on the but offer their goods in the classifieds all the time. Maybe they should take out ads on the hub to allow them to post their goods in the classifieds.
