  1. Why did I know you were going to say something like that?
  2. Will it be ok to answer "yes I think so" to both? Do you think that human Tumbles would die if he doesnt get beer and snacks everyday?
  3. Is she that good?
  4. Tumbleweed?
  5. Wouldnt you like to come back as one of your Labs?
  6. How is Mon's productivity related to her post count on this thread?
  7. I know that there are many supporters of the LBS mentioned by Jagwil here, but I and a few others havent had the best of experiences there. On the other side I've had some good service from them too. It could very well be due to miscommunication or -understanding from both sides and very often sub standard service is subjective. Why not give these guys a call as well as per Johan Bornman's post: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/128565-kudos-to-torqzone/?do=findComment&comment=1995919 I had a look on their website and will be taking my bike there to sirt out a few niggles here and there.
  8. You can use them on road and mtb, so I would like to think that for 29er it should be perfect.
  9. There is a big difference between have to and want to. I have to fork out (at a bargain price) 800 ZAR's per tyre for my car and I almost **** myself but I do it because I have to. I want to get new tyres for my mtb, even if i must pay R800, I will do so with a smile because I want to!! So rather than b!tching and moaning over the high prices of cycling stuff in general, the solution is simple: if you cant face the heat stay out of the kitchen....easy as that
  10. Dink die evil dokter het sy naam effens met 'n plank geslaan. Hoop maar hy het reggemaak.....
  11. quite an achievement indeed!
  12. Hey Sweiss, all the best for your recovery....very true words.....and even if the Hub doesnt save you from insanity, it will provide some entertainment for sure When up for it, I think all us Centurion Hubbers could hit the trails at Big Red Barn for a chilled ride....keep us posted!
  13. You got it all wrong!! the second pic is where I picked her up around the corner from your place after she told you she's going to the loo.... Damn and I thought I was in love......
  14. I see OP got a helmet already. Got a Scott Watu a few months back....like it
  15. Damn.....super hot! Just when I thought I had the perfect bike these guys come along.... I'll give a kidney and liver for that bike!!
  16. How sure are you guys that Durban ever has a winter? Been there on holiday for a week and I thought: Can it get any better than this? When last did you go for a swim in the morning and a braai in the evening without freezing to death in winter?
  17. After spying on this thread for a while, is it ok if I chip in now and then as well?
  18. Think you could add Medac Bibs as well. Bought mine about two years ago for 570 or so and they are still going strong. Thick, durable material, high quality and comfy chamois. Good quality for the price
  19. I had a bad run with Juicy 3's, switched to Shimano SLX last year November....since then: Happy days
  20. No pics, but I finally graduated to baggies again in the form of a pair of Endura Hummvees, best purchase in a while I'd say. Also picked up ESI Chunky Reds and a bottle of Rock n Roll Blue. All from me to me. All items bought at the Cycle Hub. Was worth the drive from Centurion. Awesome shop. Next time my bike will go with
  21. Just makes you wanna ride.....fantastic, needs to consolidate the yellow and go for a stage win today... This is good enough reason to do a dstv upgrade to the full package today... It would be awesome to see a fully SA team in TdF one day...what are the chances of that happening?
  22. Dit is seker so....MAAR dis die baggies wat ek soek en SARS was my baie genadig. So time for some "me shopping" for a change. Plus its a good excuse for a road trip to Rietvlei to do some riding there...
  23. Ok, my turn to say something good for a change Firstly, I seriaassssly want some Endura Hummvee baggies, called Cycle Hub. Yesterday was chaos at work so I maybe missed their callback. Spoke to the man Wendell himself this morning and quickly managed to establish that they have stock indeed: @R850-00 ea Camo in Med & Large Stone in Med Black from Med to XXL Wendell apparently fell a while back and for those that actually know him, he will go in for some shoulder op some time soon. But geez, he took the time to have a chat and then referred me to the shop. Nice guy indeed. The the oke who did the mobile bike repairs (Juan) is sadly no longer doing it as he works at a Bike shop in Bryanston. I called him this morning. He said that even if he cant do it privately they will assist at the shop. I need a complete strip and rebuild etc. The oke was willing to come to me on his way to work, pick up my bike and bring it back to me when finished. I thought "genade tog" this is awesome service. Restored my faith in Bike Shops and Bike Services in general
