  7. What would happen is that they will recommend you a Thule 968 strap-on, as the strips from the clip-on rack would damage the spoiler.....Dunno I had the 9103 on my old car...didnt want to put towbar on new car...Corolla Diesel so took the strap-on and works well.

    94.7 50km MTB

Well BMl, you are indeed spoily for choice as Dangle said, so PLEASE dont do it again next year. NONE of the races I di this year was the exact distance as quoted, but what the heck, I get to ride in places I've never seen, get to meet new people sharing my love of the MTB, and I get to appreciate what God gave us humans. So next time when you feel like wetting your panties, go do it some place else
  10. I guess there are multiple reasons why people use them. Me for instance, I have varicose veins in my lower left leg (had a thrombosis years ago and it;s also part of the family ailments) anyways. Without the socks my ankle is swollen, leg feels "heavy" and painful at times. and on my calf there are these brown spots. I wear compression socks during the day and when exercising. No swelling, no pain. it assists the bloodflow. it definetely works, for me at least Even though I'm a middle to lower of the pack type of rider at the moment, I wear them at races as well, often get strange looks from fellow-riders, but what the heck. The main idea when using these for sports, is to assist in recovery, but it can be used during an event as well.
  11. I actually hate MiWay Mtb- It causes my list of to-do races to stretch to infinity and beyond... at this rate, one life time isnt enough
  12. :-) hehe.bmp
  13. Oh yes, btw, I heard that Thule racks and Buzz Bike racks are manufactured in the same factory....is it true?
  14. Yeah Grumpy, most of what you said is true, but still, although supposedly "fairly normal" according to you, for me the way in which I was treated and the whole process from start to finish, was excellent.
  15. So I had my 9104 clip-on rack for sale here on the hub. Just decided to test the water at Thule Centurion where I bought it 4 months ago. Met up again with Emmanuel working there. He first said they would sell the rack there in store at our agreed price. I mentioned that I would definitely trade it in for a rack more suitble to my needs and new car. long story short, I ended up trading my old rack in for a new rack, no issue, no problem no hassles!! All of this in the matter of 30 minutes. Definitely a store and a brand that has won my loyalty for years to come! By the way, some of their ride-on racks are now a few bucks cheaper to be more in line with the competition
  16. 1998...car radio stolen 1999...window smashed and cellphone grabbed. There is a happy ending to this story though...the thief was caught and I got my phone back. 2002...two okes grabbed my wallet and cellphone, tried to fight back, hit the one on his head somewhere (almost lights out) his partner stabbed me with knife in back. Luckily it was right on my scapula, so no punctured lungs or anything. Since then...no problems.

  20. I use Super Corega (stuff used to clean dentures). Wash bottles and Camelbak thouroughly and the dropa tab in and dissolve. Let it stand for a few hours and Bob's your uncle. Good luck. Funky bottles are nasty!!!
