  1. Good, would be nice to meet....kick some ass on lap 1! Going to put a small photo of my Dad on my camelbak as well
  2. More or less my experience too.... You should have bought a nice ice cold 32GI drink for 10 bucks..... was nice to feel the vibe, its gonna be an awesome day Sunday
  3. Selfde daar lekker goodies vir my seuntjie by die Cows gekry vanoggend.... Number collection was effortless, since we waited from 8:40 outside. Was my first expo of its kind, so thought is was ok. Some nice eye candy too Just got a few bits and bobs and off course a raffle ticket for the Cube mtb. Should have actually spent more time there, but that would have resulted in credit card meltdown To all riding on SUnday, have fun and go all out at the same time and be safe! For anyone starting in PP, look out for a RED Spez MTB and rider with red (almost matching) helmut and say howzit!!
  4. Dankie Coenie Watse goedjies het die Koeie?
  5. This one
  6. ~rude~ indeed
  7. Agree, my experience for 94.7. The difference between the red planned fitness line and the blue actual fitness line on fitrrack.co.za is extremely motivating
  8. Yep Planning on spending some bucks at the Cow stand, some socks and a raffle ticket for a schweet Cube Acid 29r. The expo is just 9 days to early for my bonus
  9. Please report back. Going tomorrow morning first thing, want to know how much debt I'm in for....
  10. I've was struggling with the very same thing about a year and half ago. So I decided that I'm not going to enter any races, just going to ride whenever I feel like it and with no HRM's or anything. Then something personal happened and I decided to focus more on my training and get ass into gear. Now I am as hyped and focused as never before and planning to do a few nice hard events in the next year. I guess its just a matter of knowing when to take a break, "ride" out the bad patch and then revving it up again. Trust me, you will never stop riding. Or just build a SS as the others said
  11. Yeah maybe.... good post you made at 11:46. will follow just that.
  12. That and all the sub 3, sub 3:30 etc....I'm gonna give it all I've got (which may not be much) and aim for a sub 12-ish or something and just enjoy the day. .
  13. On some of the torrent sites you can download the suffer fest vids as well, just cant recall the details now, but I'm sure a google search will point you in the right direction.
  14. Ok so my last training ride is done and dusted. Loosely followed the fittrack program and seems like according to that and the graph, I am on target. Will be happy to finish well but at 4h30-ish should be possible.
  15. .
  16. I'd like to get my hands on those tattoo ones....maybe there will be some at the expo
  17. I went for my last long ride 12pm on Saturday. spent 3h30min on mtb. Hydrated well and used sunscreen. Used 2l water in camelbak, 750ml race juice in bottle and a few racefood bars (those are great). All in all good prep I think. Will spray my son's SPF 50 liberally before race, so should be ok.
  18. Could it be that Mons actually ran out of questions and now know everything?
  19. Although the year is far from over, I'd say having been able to ride without being hijacked or hit by a car is one of the bigger blessings I received. And off course becoming a home owner again.
  20. Good one....but I have to burst your bubble, the wife I'm with at the moment is in quite a good mood (at the moment), so just maybe its not the same person, but how will we ever know? ( For the record, I don't share any couch pictures )
  21. Have no idea, but I assume you want to strip a frame? Consider Plascon RemoveAll. Wont damage the alu, or even wood for that matter. Brush on, pressure spray off.... Even better results if left in refuse back for a few hours.
  22. Hehehe you and me could share the same wife .....now just to get there with road closures and all....will leave nice and early just in case. Their offices are in woodmead business park....
  23. and here I thought my 73km wasn't too bad....

Eeiissshhh for that price or maybe a little more you can get a decent Edge 500 bundle with HRM and then you can still upload to strava/endomondo etc. Ok Wayne, you just blasted my "theory" to pieces
  25. Just another question or two from my side How long before your start should you be there? I figured since I start at 9:33 I should park my car around 7:30 or 8? And then my last ride for this week (Wednesday) planning on doing a 35km ride, should I go all guns blazing or just a nice high cadence spin?
