  3. Arrange to have it sent to us for examination. No STI lever should be opened as its impossible to re-assemble by hand ,however we do carry a wide range of replacement mechanisms. rgds steven www.coolheat.co.za
  4. Sounds weird that you in one morning came across 3 problems with Sti Levers as we only have warranty issues for approx 5 per month. Again i stress to all whom ride with Sti make sure you have outer and inner Genuine Shimano cables, do not settle for anything else and also make sure you got original chain rings, chain and cassette. rgds sm www.coolheat.co.za

  10. Carbonboy, thanks for your response regarding inner stainless steel gear cable. It would not be policy for Shimano to print a warning stating that if non Shimano gear cable is used that it would create a warranty problem.Experience and reliabilty has shown us that by using a non branded inner and outer gear casing it could cause hard shifting and ultimatly premature wear of shifters. Sure that a lack of maintance also takes its toll, however when you work at the Cape Epic for 7 days and replace lots of inner and outer cables and casing en route only then does the reality of quality of Shimano come on strong.Shimano outercasing is make specificaly for Shimano where the compression of the outercasing is designed to work at its optimum. Many other copies etc are not produced as such which in turn could create bad shifting performance. I will as soon as possible insert an article of Shimano inner and outercasings for your info once i have it on hand. rgds sm

ANDREW, WHY DID YOUR DROP OUT BREAK OFF, BEFORE PUTTING ON A NEW DROP OUT HAVE YOUR BIKE CHECKED AS PERHAPS THERE IS SOMETHING CAUSING IT TO BREAK AND ALSO HAVE THE REAR DROP OUT ALIGNMENT CHECKED ONCE YOU HAVE A NEW ONE INSTALLED AS WITHOUT THIS YOU WILL HAVE POOR SHIFTING PERFORMANCE RGDS SM WWW.COOLHEAT.CO.ZA
