What do you mean by launched???

Shimano started wheel production of the WHR535 in 2000 and the WHR540 replaced these in aprrox.2002. They were very succesfull once upgraded to stainless spokes. For more infor call 0861-Shimano and speack to Jade for any assistance rgds sm

Make sure your LBS use a spoke tension metre as if not you will be wasting your time having these wheels re-tensioned. Without a proper spoke tension metre you will never get your wheels 100 % .correct. rgds steve m

Shimano do not recommend Nokon cables as it causes to much friction and adds additional stress to the Sti lever. STI MEANS SHIMANO TOTAL INTERGRATION

The Epic is an amazing well organised event and should never be classed as over rated. Shimano provided back up and support for all the riders and even though we worked, our team of 10 enjoyed the event very much.The problem is its limited to how many people can participate as the logistics are huge and costly for all.The system used to access as a participant is one of the best ways,giving everybody a fair chance to compete in this World Class event. Shimano offer a range of either disk or and V-brake wheels at low prices, Dt can also offer a Taiwan produced V-brake wheel hand bulit with a choice of spokes at reasonable value. contact 0861-SHIMANO for details on them

I have been working with Shimano for over 15 years, unfortunatly the only Tandem equipement made by Shimano was XT and production was stopped some years ago. We still have a few Sugino sets available but with standard chainrings so pickup when changing gears will be poor and the ratio is 28 38 48 which isnt what is required today. Perhaps we can convert these for you to accept Shimano chainrings as the bb is for the tapered square(old) type. I will get back to you tommorow nite. rgds sm

BLM950 IS OLD XTR V-BRAKE TYPE LEVERS BLM970 IS NEW XTR V-BRAKE TYPE LEVERS BLM975 IS NEW XTR DISK BRAKE LEVERS 2007-2008 BRAKES BRM960 IS OLD V-BRAKES,BRM970 IS NEW V-BRAKES BRM975 IS NEW DISC BRAKES,BE CAREFUL AS THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS and also variations with regard to post/standard mount and also left or right front etc,together with disk sizes and options on either resin or metal pads.When fitting disks its recommended to use a bleed kit and special oil, use the wrong oil and u are history.Mineral oil on Shimano. BRM765,AND M766 Are also Xt discs with different options post or standard mount Cassettes,m750,m760 are similare however m760 is newer but m770 is the latest for 2008 M970 is top of the range being the newest XTR on the market, however if you are buying on-line be very careful as lots of special deals are in fact for old stock. rgds sm

TRY USING TACX CARBON PASTE WHICH WORKS WONDERS ON CARBON SEAT POSTS AND STEMS.ONCE APPLIED YOU USE MUCH LESS TORQUE TO TIGHTEN THE STEM OR SEAT POST AND IT ALLOWS FOR EASIER DISASEMBLY. SM WWW.TACX.COM
