  3. Ian J , when a Power Link fails it could trash your drive train,we saw it happen a plenty at the Epic. Just think about it.We replaced rear derailers, front derailers chain rings and some riders whom suffered failure instructed us to replace there complete drive train and keep it all Shimano. If Shimano thought that Power Link was fail safe they would have brought it onto the market long ago. rgds sm www.coolheat.co.za
  4. Ian j. We as Shimano did the technical support on the Cape Epic in 07 and i can assure you that we fixed lots of problems with Sram Power links and many competitors actually had to change rear derailers, front derailers, chain rings etc etc after there power links failed.I am not making this up and if you want further info email jade@coolheat.co.za or tyson@coolheat.co.za We do not recommend Power Links . rgds sm www.coolheat.co.za

Maruni also offer a Tubeless Repair kit which is much simpler to use as all you have to do is apply Maruni solution onto a bullett shaped plug and with the small tool supplied with the kit force the plug into the hole and it not only seals the hole but also valcanizes it as well. www.coolheat.co.za sm

  14. BIG H, sorry for the late reply. The Hubsa normally send me a notification that somebody either is responding to or is asking for information. I was browsing today and saw already a negative response with regard to the servicing of Shimano Sti Levers.I would like to answer accordingly as the Shimano Distributor in SA.Please note i take all issues seriously as we do our business and keeping the consumer and dealer happy at all times is our priority. Shimano warrant Sti levers and we are obliged to service and or replace all Sti levers if they fall into the warranty period which is clearly included in the instruction manual supplied by your Lbs when purschasing Shimano from one of our authorized dealers. Please keep your original receipt as this helps us.All Sti levers have a production date stamped on them so this enable us to check on the year of production. We do offer a replacement service to our dealers whom i can assure you know of our service and use it accordingly. In fact we have one Shimano Trained Service Manager just doing exactly that on a full time basis. In turn we ask that the consumer use only Shimano Genuine Parts, ie Chains, Cassettes, outer gear casing and inner gear cable as by using these genuine parts will not only enhance the performance of shifting but also protect you as the consumer when an issue arrises and perhaps a warranty claim is lodged with us. Sti means Shimano Total Intergration. Please do not hesitate in contacting either myself or my sales team on 0861-Shimano or email me directly stephen@coolheat.co.za I am only too happy to help you . Looking forward to hearing from you Brgds Steve Meltzer www.coolheat.co.za
