  1. Is that the pipe that feeds the brain that's come totally loose? How can that shock even function with it like that?
  2. They'll ask for your Id book/number and use that to ticket you/get you on the system, you could lie I suppose. And those tickets are not the ones you ignore, the ticket itself serves as a summons as the cop handed it to you.
  3. Are the speeds listed on the leaderboard average or maximum? Are most of the riders going clipped in or flats?
  4. So what is the point of your user name/this thread? Are you planning on launching an aftermarket warranty extension product or similar?
  5. I vote try the heating it on the gas stove again but this time make sure it gets radically hot, before that remove the pedal body from the shaft and then once hot, before you try loosen it, dip the shaft only in a container with ice and water. It has to come loose after that, even if the threads were corroded badly. Make sure the vice is stable and use the hammer technique mentioned above , that'll help break the seize.
  6. Heat will release it , oxyacetylene or possibly an industrial heat gun at max temps. Really does sound like you are going the wrong way though, good condition Gedore spanner with a pipe and the crank arm in a properly anchored vice has to undo a pedal, even if some monkey cross threaded it before.
  7. So you save 0.49 watts from the reduced friction using bigger pulleys? Eeish not worth the effort and cost! They will be hard to find and very expensive, not to mention to get that full benefit of 0.49 watts you need to customize your RD cage to accept the really big 15t pulleys
  8. Now why would a brand new user called Warranty Guru, with zero other posts, suddenly be interested in hearing about peoples bike warranties? Mmm something fishy here...
  9. How does bigger help?
  10. The wheels might be abnormally narrow to accommodate the 11-speed chain , maybe a 11-speed road RD jockey wheel might work?
  11. Probably not a whole lot cheaper though
  12. They all try that bollocks, do the quote , ok nice great Im happy lets go ahead with it, normally at that stage they mention there will be a R300 admin fee, with 2 different insurers I have at that point refused to pay the admin fee(basically expecting me to pay their operating expenses like credit check etc in a lump sum which is rubbish) failing which I don't want the cover from them. At that point they play the "let me ask the supervisor" line who invariably waives the fee. Great stuff.
  13. That's not true for OUTsurance and Miway! they increase my car premiums every year even though the insured value has gone down, they say it's because panel beater/repair costs etc have increased so premiums must also increase. Insurers are a sly bunch
  14. I couldn't find niks on eBay
  15. http://www.bike-components.de/products/language/en/info/p35702_Mismatch-Adapter-.html http://www.ebikestop.com/problem_solvers_mismatch_adapter_1_fits_shimano_i_spec_brakes_to_sram_matchmaker_shifters-BR0385.php?cat=320 http://harriscyclery.net/product/problem-solvers-mismatch-adapter-1-fits-shimano-i-spec-brakes-to-sram-matchmaker-shifters-sku-br0385-qc49.htm Will not be cheap though, but probably well worth it!
  16. Anyone know her off thehub?
  17. This is a perfect example of the kind of self righteous uninformed rubbish thehub is well known for, after 125 pages or so of redemption RooiWille takes it upon himself to undo all the good that has come before him. And he's trying damn hard, read the the whole thread you chop before you come taking a dump on the doorstep. Ey some people.
  18. 3 days and 2 rides later tyre is still holding pressure perfectly, its pumped to almost 30psi and ridden some pretty rough terrain.
  19. Now that's the way it should be done and a nice method to retain customers. Always nice to have a reference to what you have bought before, ie what worked or fit really well.
  20. Def a syndicate, Capetown/Stellies is getting cleaned out bike wise last few months
  21. So I see you don't mind throwing Concept Cyclery under the bus? They put their name on the line to help your sister, Spez didn't decide to warranty the shoes because they made a random decision or bent the rules, Concept Cyclery put their weight and name behind your sister and Spez relied on that. You pay cash and don't bother to keep receipts and your "much loved" Lbs doesn't show you love back in supporting your warranty, ie finding the invoice date and doing a reprint but now you slamming the Spez warranty guys? The problem is with your Lbs not Spez, for future purchases maybe try groveling over to concept cyclery(with your sister) and see if they can forgive you, although you probably on Spez's scam watch list by now so that's probably not going to help future claims anyway... I don't support the rabid Spez fans much but this is bullsh1te!
  22. Tyre pressure is still holding overnight, looks like this job is done! Obviously superglue on its own may not be the ideal solution for bigger holes/pinches but small ones it's good
  23. So it was obviously the usual suspect, extreme lights guy? Spreads mis information, fear mongering, toots his own horn and "whistleblows" and yet does exactly what he "accuses" his competitors of doing. Go read his SABS bullsh1te thread, apparently only the battery charger is partially certified. The best are his "product reviews", that he conducts on his own products...
  24. That link explains how they control the noise and sparks from a grinder "He doesn’t do it with a fireworks display of sparks and loud noise, as many writers have imagined. No, he wraps the grinder motor in a bath towel and covers the blade with even just a grocery bag to deflect the sparks."
