  1. That is an option I did look at but it's actually cheaper for me fly up, rent a car, rent a crate and fly back. I've got a couple of requests out for quotes to see what other companies can do. Finger crossed.
  2. Ridgeback / Lab cross @ 14 Weeks. So a decent size but can get on a plane if in a transport box / cage thing but I'm not 100% sure on the regulations so really want to mess people about in that way. I'd hate some one to pitch with the pooch and then be stuck at the airport with my problem!
  3. I'm just going bump this up a bit. Just the one time.
  4. Hardtails, only hardtails for beginners. They must learn the skills to survive before being allowed any squidge.
  5. With a lot of hubbers coming down for the Argus I was hoping and praying that some who are driving down might not have left and could help out. I know it's an imposition but I'm looking for a lift for a puppy from JHB to CT and thought it might be worth a go here. I had a plan in place but it's fallen through and now I'm a bit stuck. So I'm throwing it out to the wonder of Le Hub and see if something might happen. Happy to chip in coin, beer, Vodka, hugs, shiny things or what's needed. Fingers crossed.
  6. "Tour de France legends Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas are in shock after their Team Ineos sporting director Nico Portal died suddenly aged 40. Frenchman Portal was a strategic architect of Froome's four Yellow Jerseys, Thomas riding to glory in 2018 and Egan Bernal's stunning triumph last year. He collapsed and died at home in Andorra, from a suspected heart attack, and his sudden passing casts a huge shadow over the team's build-up to Le Tour starting on June 27 in Nice. The dreadful news was confirmed by Team Ineos in a statement, saying: "It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved team-mate, colleague and friend Nico Portal who died suddenly this afternoon at his home in Andorra."
  7. There for Wiggins, Froome and Bernal as they took yellow.
  8. Sad news coming out of Team Ineos HQ regarding the death of former rider and hugely successful DS Nico Portal aged 40. Apparent heart attack at his family home in Andoorra. Such a good DS who has been behind so many of Sky / Ineos success especially in the GTs. Always happy to give a (great) interview and with such a positive and honest demeanor, he almost seemed out of place in the British teams regimented approaches. Thoughts and sympathy to his family. Shame man.
  9. NTT have really stepped up in the opening weeks of 2020. Good to see their colours mixing it up, seems the Dane agrees with them.

Would love him to finally take a big one as it's what he lives for but I'll put that in the draw of reality next to the 'TeeJay being a GC rider' file.

Loved watching the womens opening weekend. AVV is a monster of note in the WC hoops and this year is shaping up to have some epic battles. Wiebes took a great win but forgot the cardinal sin of not zipping up the jersey for the sponsors but considering her tussle with Parkhotel and her contract this year that might have been on purpose! Shame we didn't see more of Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig just for her awesomeness and post race interviews. Chantal van den Broek-Blaak now has the longest name in ladies cycling and shall now be known as CvdBB to go with AVV and the rest.

Loved the game plan "Bob said 'just do what I did last year'"... Okay. Boom. Win.

Gold... Moscon is back! 16:28:35 SAST We await confirmation of the precise reasons for Moscon's disqualification, but this looks like another addition to the long, long rap sheet of the Luis Suarez of professional cycling. 16:27:47 SAST Word reaching us that Gianni Moscon has been disqualified from the race. It seems it may have been for aggressive behaviour, namely throwing away the bike of a fellow rider after he went down in the crash on the Trieu...
  15. Every damn month, loving the rand's decline!
  16. R500, I'll adopt another pooch from SPCA and will run a short distance in budgie smugglers next to him by the Constantia bridge with 'I love it wookie style' written on my back (or shaved out of my pelt) if 'bacca does it. *if I can spot him in the mix aka if he wears a borat mankinie and a flag so you can see him. Only exception would be if my wife has arranged anything for our wedding anniversary (CTCC weekend). If so will submit virtual evidence of same run, same outfit on the same day in a different location via video. Donations will be accepted to stop this masterpiece actually being published, scaring the eyes and burning into the memory of all who are unfortunate enough to witness it.
  17. I heard Cav' was targeting the final two stages and would have *deffo* won those if it wasn't for this. So does that mean Yates is the winner or it's no winner this year or all back at the end of the year to run the final stages and avoid going to the China races?
  18. Unfortunately it is a great place. I stayed away for ages because of the obvious taint but out of necessity I had to use them when they moved around the corner from me and they were brilliant. Justin and the guys on the tools were solid. Never had to take a bike back and they really went the extra mile on a lot of things. Truthfully one of the few bike shops in that Rondebosch / Woodstock / Claremont / Kenilworth cluster I'd recommend. Only downside was interactions with DG and if that was my initial interaction with the shop then I'd never have gone back. He's just not a very good people person. When ever he talked to at me it was to either bike / equipment shame me or just sell me a $$$$ bike fit I just didn't need while looking so disinterested. The rest of the shop / guys tho, thumbs up and won me over from a very negative stand point.
  19. MSR will go I'm pretty sure of it. It's in the epicentre for italy and they have already said it won't be xx- San Remo. Giro and Olypmics are big ones, six nations matches are probably going to be cancelled, italian league is likely to be played out behind closed doors. What for Le Tour with infections in France starting to surge? Africa has good experience with desease control but I think this thing is going to hit everywhere. It's past the tipping point now.
