  1. You'll easily get R13k If you find te right buyer then you'll get around R16k. If you sell the parts individually you'll get R2.7k for the fork. R6.5k for the frameset maybe. R2.3k for the wheels with tyres. R3.5k for the whole groupset... You'll always get more selling the bike in pieces but it's not worth the effort. You might not get the parts sold and then you end up with a bunch of pieces.
  2. I blend tofu, nutritional yeast and a few cashews together to make a cheesey paste, it's not cheese but its worth trying.
  3. "Your search won't help plant a tree." They made me feel guilty. ????
  4. I know the feeling of people not understanding and being rude. I went to a cheese shop called Cheese Gourmet near Linden Highschool. I asked the owners of the shop if they had any vegan cheese in stock. The lady yelled and blabbered about how disgusting vegan cheese is and that vegan cheese is an abomination and that it shouldn't even be called cheese. She then said that she had vegetarian cheese and that vegetarian cheese doesn't contain any life cultures. ????‍♂️
  5. I also just wanted to incorporate more plant based meals into my diet but after a while the full switch started kicking in. Some animals will be valued more than others especially if they're an endangered species. I don't mind if people eat dog because I categorize dogs and pigs in the same sentient bracket because pigs have shown to be just as if not more emotionally intelligent as dogs. It makes people hipocrites if they are against dog farming.
  6. This is what I use to make my tofu. Always soak your tofu in soy sauce before frying.
  7. Here is my final product. I gave the table 3 lairs of primer but the wood kept sucking it up. I didn't know what to do so I let someone professional spray it for me but he needed to sand the primer down before he could begin. The table has a glossy finish. It ended up costing me R3200 for everything. I went way over budget tho.
  8. Frana said that most hunters he knows are big animal lovers.I just can't agree that anyone who hunts or butchers animals truely 'loves' animals. People who hunt animals see animals as a commodity rather than a living thing. I think a more accurate description is an animal enthusiast. I have no problem with people controlling herds. They just can't call themselves animal lovers. In the movie GameChangers there was a guy who guarded rhinos against poaching for a living. The guy did this for years and felt that he himslef was a hipocrite for guarding animals in the day and then going home at night just to eat another animal. He said that once he went vegan he truly felt a connection with the rhinos and animals around him.
  9. Thats great man, thanks for keeping us updated. The family will have to adapt as well, it just makes dinner easier. It doesn't snow in SA by the way.
  10. 15 year olds are not to be trusted.
  11. My new pronouns are daddyself/handsomeboy. Feel free to use them from now on.
  12. Our biggest imports are grains, wheat, rice, corn. Yet again, most of our grains, especially corn goes towards the meat industry. SA doesn't really import fruit and vegetables. It's South Africa, we literally grow almost everything. Ovcourse, importing stuff will be harmful but the biggest imports in most countries are things both vegans/carnists consume like coffee, sugar, chocolate, avo, bananas, almonds, rice.
  13. https://www.foodnavigator.com/Article/2021/01/27/Plant-based-diets-the-least-favoured-solution-to-climate-change-according-to-UN-poll People care about climate change but they just don't care enough. Everyone for themselves I guess. Its funny how a plantbaded diet makes one of the biggest contributions to reduce climate change but it's the least favoured solution.
  14. Now I defenitely want to do it on my own bike. What stuff did you use?
  15. The drum ring is alloy and the tool is steel. Steel is stronger than alloy and that's all what matters. My pals wont let me touch their bikes other than the brakes because the rest of their bikes will be blessed with a chisel and a hammer.
  16. In the name of the backyard mechanic, the hammer and the cheap knock-off tools, Bless thou service for the local bike shop rips me off. Amen????
  17. You can buy this from, "Made in China"It will cost you R300 including the 60 day shipping ????

  19. I agree, I have never seen a bike wrap on bikes under R60k. Bike respray is more common. This person is going to have to spend a lot of money to get this side job up and running.

  21. I built this desk as my old one was uncomfortable The wood cost me R1100 and I still need to paint it. I could have baught a new desk for a cheaper price but what's the fun in that.
