I have been left to my own devices a bit too much of late... Being at work on public holidays is actually bloody expensive...especially with a mall nearby! Oh, if anyone sees this, please snap it up. Can't get hold of it anywhere! edit: Also, I've noticed Toyz R Us are quite big on MegaBlocks. ToyZone in Boksburg has a dedicated - as in glassed-off - Lego area.

Guess what I am doing this weekend! Shot for that! Oh, and while I am at it... Hamleys did it. Now Toy Kingdom is the latest offender...bloody radio ads boast of huge Lego selections. Went to Toy Kingdom on Sunday. Nothing more than Toy Zone has, nor Lilliputs, nor even my local Pop's in terms of variety. Okay, I did end up taking a loyalty card just in case...

You have to snap them up while you can! Almost as soon as a new series hits the shelves at Lilliputs, they're gone! They're very cool! Got some peeps into the office into them too! I hate you! Stuck at work.....or maybe I can say that I will "cover" the event!"

My current city, Benoni, is currently not so friendly. Well, my 'burb, in particular, is a little edgy. Especially since the local butcher got murdered last week. So, this afternoon, when this guy decided to lift someone's purse and phone from an outside table at Grapes, and run...he didn't get too far...and so the long weekend starts...

Fond memories of PE. Lived there for a few years after immigrating to SA in 77, then would visit family there every year until the late 80s. Spent quite a bit of time there while at Rhodes - played most of my footie in the Friendly City.

I like the name of the last one on the list...

Not sure what he's actually doing these days, but did give his missus a lift to Rhodesfield for a couple of days about a week or so back. They live a few blocks away from me.
