  1. It's a great new method of hydrating. You soak the pack in water, then when you need a drink, you just suck on the bag. Works great and weighs less than a conventional bag with bladder, pipe and bitevalve.
  2. Care to post a pic of your 'powers of persuasion' ? Innocent side?. Naughty side??won?t fit on the screen? Don't worry, I'm running a dual-screen setup, and they're BIG screens. I'm sure they'll fit!
  3. Care to post a pic of your 'powers of persuasion' ?
  4. Eh cmon' date=' I'm not that easy!! [/quote'] We all are, it's fine. Afterall, you took out a subscription to a magazine that you don't really like. She must have had GREAT noombies!
  5. Was the girl hot?
  6. Okay, not in SA, but look at www.marinobike.com There's a few Trials and street riders that use his frames, and they're happy with it. I was looking at getting a frame made by him before I got the GT. May still get him to build me a 24" Trials frame/fork one day.
  7. Haha, sorry! Had a late night. Standard Pro II hub should do it. I built recall the Canaan running QR axles. Go for 32 hole hubs and rims. They're plenty strong, and 32 hole rims are easier to find.
  8. You ordering the Hubs only? My advice: Order the pre-built wheels. What you pay on CRC for a rim + spokes is what you'll be paying your LBS to rebuild your current wheels with the new hubs. Then you can sell your current wheelset for R1000 to make up the difference. I'm considering doing the same.
  9. I remember seeing a flyer for a place called Kungwini that was supposed to have jumps as well. Not a frikken clue where I saw it though.
  10. For the record' date=' I didn't point them here. They keen on the cycling market and monitor the hub it seems. Let me know how the GT3 thing works out, I fancy a Boxter S. [/quote'] Boxster S = Ghey. After checking the price of car tyres I decided not to get the GT3 any more. They cost EVEN MORE than Mountain Kings, so I won't be able to afford the car. Guess I'll just ride my bike rather.
  11. So this is how you get a good price from Outsurance? Start a thread on a website that gets a lot of hits and then point them to that? I'll remember that one. Maybe if I do the same I'll finally convince the guys at Porsche to sell me a GT3 for R60k!
  12. That's a great performance! 6th in the world is UNREAL!
  13. That's really weird. I run Nevegals with sealant on the 'Goose with no issues. I think I've had them on for about a year now, and I'm not exactly a light rider.

    ignore this

I think it's for someone who's keen on getting his ass sued by Disney for copyright violations.
  15. I say we put these bikes to the test. I'll buy one, and we can see how it holds out. Maybe we can do a nice morning at Groenkloof with a braai & beer afterwards. Who's keen?
  16. Well at least you knew it was coming! If you like it, keep it. It's your bike, you can make it as ugly as you want to.
  17. Nice bike! Did your mom make you put on the mudguard so your shirts don't get dirty?
  18. Nice man! See you out on the trails.
  19. I used to do annual insurance shoping. What irritates me about Outsurance, every time I'd phone them it would go something like this: I tell them I'm paying XXX per month, with excess waiver, ie NO excess whatsoever (costs about R60 per car extra). They tell me their minimum excess is R500, but then I'll be paying roughly XXX+150. I tell them that's not exactly cheaper than I'm paying now. They tell me they have extra benefits like roadside support ect. I tell them to p!ss off. Stopped phoning them a few years ago.
  20. Just go with a broker. I never had a good experience with one of these 'direct' places. Outsurance has always been more expensive than the other guys in my experience.
  21. Try this one: http://vimeo.com/3968156
  22. Damn that kid can ride!!

    MTB or Road?

I love dirty girls! MTB all the way! It has so much more to offer. There are many different disciplines, so if one gets boring you can concentrate on a different one. Plus, fresh air is way nicer than diesel fumes. I also prefer falling off my bike to getting hit by cars.
  24. Something tells me that KDEE is being sarcastic, I just can't figure out exactly what.... Hey did you ever get that bike sold? Did you get new bikes for your offspring?
