  1. Black & white like the 09 Mongoose Teocali's!
  2. theres lots of asp coders. but before anyone jumps in and starts coding' date=' its a good idea to spec what exactly they are going to code [/quote'] I think they need to supply input as to what's possible and what would work with the current site. It's broken often enough already, don't want to mess it up even more.
  3. Any ASP coders here?
  4. That's such a pretty frame. Now I want one as well! Too bad I just spent a bunch on Trials goodies on CRC. PS - Your jump bike needs a seat. Running it like that is just asking for an embarrassing and painful episode. PSS - Your other bike needs a wash.
  5. Well DUH! To oil your minerals! Just kidding. Studies have shown that cooking your food in mineral oil helps greatly with weight loss.
  6. Johnsons baby oil. Not sure if it'll work for you, but I there are guys that bleed their Magura HS33's with it.
  7. Damn. Time to book a flight to Cape Town?
  8. Another incentive: Hangovers are WAY less intense when you don't smoke.
  9. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU SPEND LESS ON BEER?? The first thing I did when I quit smoking was start drinking the expensive stuff!
  10. Was pretty funny, although somewhat irritating after 15 minutes, when I went to Cajees this weekend and asked them for bearings for my Shimano front wheel. First the guy pulled out some sealed bearing, then I told him that I needed the loose balls, 18 of them, 3/16" in size. Moral: Cajees is not bad, but you need to know what you're buying. Don't expect advice from them and don't expect them to know their product.
  11. Hmmm... Buying second-hand always has its risks. Say you do buy it, book it for a complete rebuild before you even ride it. Because it's an older bike there's a good chance the suspension linkages may need replacing, as well as shock and fork seals, bearings and a few other bits and bobs. So give yourself a buffer of about R2k to spend on the first service - if it needs less, then great. The price is not too bad, although the component spec is not exactly top of the range, so that seems to even it out. Have you ridden the bike?
  12. You have to give some more info than that. How old is the bike? What's the component spec etc. Isn't the RDS and older full-sus bike?
  13. What a great ride yesterday! Even though we had a small group, it was really cool riding around the urban stuff in Rosebank. We found some nice spots to play and had plenty good laughs. Peach did manage to bash his bike up a bit, but that's how it goes I guess. Oh, and a unicycle is a great ice-breaker when security arrives! We had zero hassles.
  14. Great idea Johan! Please book me a seat.
  15. Petrol cheaper than clean green? Please let me know where.
  16. Thanks Johan. I'll take it apart tomorrow, although by the feel of it I'll be surprised if the hub isn't a lost cause. Guess it's an excuse to get a Hope hub in front as well!
  17. Great find Builder. Unfortunately the hub is quite old, so it's not listed there any more. I did find a PDF of it where they just say it uses 1/4" steel bearings. I'll see if I can find some today.
  18. The bearings on the GTs front hub are wrecked. I'm hoping that the hub is still half alive, but it feels seriously notchy. The hub is a Shimano M555, looks like this: Can anyone tell me what bearings to use and where to get them? I'd like to get them today, but I won't have time to go past home and take the thing apart.
  19. How about me? I don't do races, don't use gels, don't use waterbottles, only drink water and the occasional Energade, and wouldn't wear Whasp casual clothes. I can do a mean Trackstand though, and a few clumsy pedal kicks and backhops.
