  1. Getting there...
  2. Awesome frame, a quick search shows a cost of 2,700$, bliksem that's pricey.
  3. I'm moving my XO groupset from my 26 inch dual over. The new stuff: Fox Talas, Mavic 719 rims, Hope Pro 2 hubs and Rock Shox Reverb dropper post
  4. It is, good ol Grumpy
  5. Got my frame today, will post more pics when it is finished. Frame weight is 3.3kg for the XL
  6. Let's hope us Joberg boys get our frames shipped to us on Monday.
  7. +1
  8. They've been good with feedback, sent out production update pics etc, haven't heard anything for around 10 days or so though. It is the 1st run so I can understand teething issues, it does still however get quite frustrating.
  9. So any news ? Did the frames clear customs today ?
  10. I was also under the impression that the Pyga frames were to be hand welded / made in PMB, clearly this is not the case. Maybe it was a time saving thing ? These are definitely hand made in the East just like 99% of all other bikes
  11. Lets hope so, I am going on holiday at the end of next week and I will be super annoyed if I don't get the frame before the, lets hope they are worth the wait.
  12. Hi All, Does anyone in the know have an update as to when we will be getting our frames, according to the mail from Pat last week they were leaving on Wednesday, I'm sure they should be here by now ?

I weighed a 20 inch Avalanche at my lbs, 11.9kg, Momsen 8.9kg, definitely going the Momsen route even at the higher price
  14. I haven't entered yet, I'll wait to hear what's been done to sort out the bottle necks
  15. A mate of mine won an entry into Sani this year only to find out later that he had won the entry but still had to pay for it, difference is the Sani comp wasn't as clear as Cape Union that the entry needed to be paid for
  16. Day 2 of Sani isn't really tough, the 1st 30km is downhill
  17. What gear was he riding, I rode 32 16, to light on the downs and to hard on the ups, guess thats SS for you
  18. I also battled with cramp which is not something that usually bothers me, I reckon that being on the SS makes the legs work a helluva harder
  19. Not to sure how I didn't notice the lion
  20. Km for Km Thaba wins hands down 900m ascent in a 27km lap on some great technical track
  21. And now all I need is my shiny new Pyga frame, let's hope it's not to much longer, can't wait
  22. Saw some nutter on a cyclocross bike today, that must be flipping tough
  23. Ya the geared bikes smoked me on the flats but I found I was way faster on the climbs, but man the climbs are tough on the SS. Biggest thing I found was that I couldn't keep my heart rate down at the pace I needed to ride to turn the gear, average hr was 175
  24. Did my 1st race on my single speed today,70km. Finished in 3h40, was definitely one of my toughest days on the bike, single speed is incredibly tough but had some good fun at least.
