  1. Wow this is awesome! Well done! I just built up my first bike from a bare frame and now, with this inspiration, building a bike from steel tubes seems the natural progressionšŸ˜…. You said there are more photos please do post them we’d love to see😁
  2. Chat to Dominic from Summit Bikes. He can help you with building a groupset that will work for you. Including for example cable actuated hydraulic brake callipers. See below
  3. I do actually have them just forgot to have them on the bike while taking pics. See below. also will include the seat post clamp. I was told the bike was closer to 30/35k new. Had 120mm travel front and rear with twin lock system and dropper post. 1x12 drive train sram SX
  4. I have a Scott spark 960 XL frame (front and rear triangle) I used the bike as a donor of components. how much would be a fair amount to sell it for? Keep the below in mind: the rear is QR but a boost spacing(so no thru-axle, has PF bottom bracket (with ID for Dub crankset) has all grommets and bearings has headset cups but no bearings I also have the wheelset that came with the bike which is as mentioned boost but rear is QR and front is thru-axle boost.

  6. This would be the best based on your minimum requirement, however if you start to enjoy indoor training you would soon want to upgrade. So keep that in mind.
  7. What was the starting weight? And were you able to finish it? Keen to see some pics
  8. Hey Hubbers, anyone got a USED tapered steerer tube rigid 29er fork to go on a hardtail boost or non boost but cannot be quick release. let me know šŸ‘šŸ¼
  9. I had a volcan 26er not long back that it rode for race to the sun in 2020. Sold it late last year but interesting to see the brand back in ZA.

  13. Hi Hubbers, So this video is a year old now but has anyone here built/welded/carbon lay up a frame together from scratch? If so please do share details and pics😁 I don't currently have the tool-set but think it would still be an awesome project.

  16. Post about upcoming events that promote cycling like critical mass or something similar that isn’t necessarily a race but rather an opportunity for more people to get on bikesšŸ’ŖšŸ¼

  18. Saw this on their Facebook page this morning. What other trail parks have a MONTHLY subscription? I think it brilliant and would like it if other trail parks to do the same. Yearly memberships feel out of reach for MOST and we all just settle for daily passes https://www.facebook.com/BuffelsdriftTrailPark/posts/pfbid02SybBHzhDdv9cdr8QEf8M1xyW9sjHKBv3fwttPaHmpx5pNV7dARRgUJKLNS6jrqihl https://www.trailparks.co.za/shop/1/category/park permit

  20. Hi @Omicrom do you still print this? I'm looking for a TL PD40 tool
  21. I use a Garmin Instinct 2 watch (and sync maps onto it from Strava via Garmin connect) and it doesn't display a map but gives notifications 100m out before a turn and a count down of meters until you take the turn. But if you want to see a graphical map this wont work for you. now a days Wahoo and Garmin both great options and you basically cannot go wrong with either.
  22. Hi Hubbers, does anyone know if the Ride from Rugani is happening on the 24th of September? I can't find any links regarding entries etc. I attended the one on the first of May with the Family and really enjoyed it.
  23. Haha, before starting this thread I was not aware of the yellow ticket sale. I ended up picking up a pair of adidas SuperNovas that were 2k and as you called it half the price. https://runrepeat.com/adidas-supernova Thanks for all the input everyone!
