  1. Big up to you!
  2. The Act that deals with warning triangles being compulsory specifically states the definition of a vehicle for the purposes of this piece of legislation excludes vehicles first registered before 1 January 2006 (I think) and ambulances. A colleague of mine also got a fine, and he has written to the prosecutor in Jhb to have the fine squashed. See www.greedfines.co.za for the piece of legislation to refer to in your letter/argument before the prosecutor. We either have metro ignorant of the law, or they really are a money making machine (maybe both?).
  3. Maybe it would help if you could give any details of scratches or other noteworthy features unique to each of the bikes to make them easier to identify (such as the sticker detail).
  4. The letter is good, but rather be safe than sorry. If you are sending a Chopard watch, rather send it to me. I will fly with the watch and the pilot, and if he gets anything wrong, I will slap him over the head.
  5. Get that tetanis shot asap, as there have been two cases (that I am aware of) of rabies reported recently (in Gauteng, at least). Best be safe.
  6. Its basically the same thing - no real difference.
  7. I just bought a bike today, and we start fasting tomorrow! Was also thinking of doing a couple of kays between Asr and Maghrib (for non-Muslims - thats rights before we can eat in the evening). I figure it would be alot better to cycle rather than to run at that time (taking the easy way out!). I find that if I do anything strenuous in the morning, I feel lethargic for the entire day, whereas with the evening you know how much you have in the tank, so you can 'budget' your training accordingly. Ramadaan mubarak!
