Feedback - tough tough day on the bike! Lots of falling, impossibly slippery in some places.... Descents treacherous...... Climbs very steep and slippery. 10th in marathon for me and it took 4hrs24. Broken.com

Results are a mess. Pisses me off when people that took shortcuts or didn't complete the race still ride accross the finish line! I counted 4-5 riders inside the top 30 of the marathon that shouldn't be there. Also, riders doing the ultra that bailed at 75 and still ride through finish line instead of pulling to the side..... Screwed up ultra results. Idiots. Anyways life goes on.

Just a thought - Instead of doing a yearly pass, how about doing a ticket system similar to Northern Farms, where the ticket doesn't expire - it just needs to get clipped every time you ride. I.e one ticket = 20 rides. If a normal day pass is R30, give a 10-15% discount on ticket. So R500 to R540 would be fair. Also this solves the problem of guys not riding the trails regularly enough in a single year. Another thought, maybe some guys see R500 as a big ticket purchase - so you could also offer 10 ride tickets at say a 10% discount? - So R270.

Reading this post makes me want to greet even less. I'm sure you have friends and colleagues to greet you. As for people not greeting when you "speed" past them..... troll about much? Anyways, I took the bait. My bad. Exit stage left.

Hi lads In plett for next 2 weeks, have road bike and mountain bike with me- doing a couple of longish rides, would be great to have some company. Road rides 30ish km/hr MTB 22-23ish LSD rides. PM me if anyone is keen to join me.

Great news. About time. Drinking and driving is a criminal offense. And in his case it led to 5 deaths. Hopefully a precedent is set here.

Yeah I must say - the comments are quite derogatory towards women on the back of mixed tandems, my wife being one them. She is hardly a "tannie" and I must say that it's usually the male tandems that behave worse. Its been over a year since my wife built up the courage to race again because of some of the male tandem's antics. If one were to sling insults around kit / behavior on the bike, start antics etc, I would say that there a good 30,000 odd other appropriate targets for this.

There is some earth / bridge missing crossing over rustenberg road riding towards William nicol. As u get to other side of the road and onto the single track off the pavement ...... 1m wide by about 2 deep. Almost ended up in there this morning.... Had to try jump it while descending..... Lucky not to land up in ditch. Be careful out there.

great stopping power. tend to deteriorate after about 2 seasons though. I had to have mine refurbished after 2 years use pistons etc. Still - I love them much.
