Make sure the tooth count matches. Use the B tension to set the gap between the cassette and upper derailleur wheel. My opinion- original is best especially with derailleur wheels as Shimano have a ceramic bearing in the upper wheel for a reason. The ceramic bearing allows play, without this play your chain will ghost shift as the terrain been ridden changes.

My race face BB lasted 4 months, then it exploded. The rings were new so I could not warrant a change to shimano. I purchased a race face signature edition BB for a grand and rode the crank set for a few more km's. I now ride shimano with no quality issues at all. I was not at all impressed with race face quality nor will I purchase any race face drive train components again.
