  1. Minor correction. Keira received assistance from a competitor with in the race., there was no outside assistance. A fellow racer gave him a wheel so he could complete his race. There was ultimately confusion from within organisers and commissaires at the time as to the legality of this. The local rule book says little about accepting a wheel from with the field so the commissaires reverted to the UCI / EDR ruleset which state a rider must finish on the same frame fork and wheels. For this reason a time penalty was applied.
  2. glad you came right!!!
  3. correctomundo on both counts, Keytek are the recently appointed importers for Abus,w e do have a spares shipment inbound.
  4. confirm with organisers re being allowed to go back to cars or finish start area to replenish. they may say its not allowed as you are meant to leave the start with everything you need, we have been told in the past at kzn races we werent allowed to fetch stuff at cars etc
  5. I guess I can call her finished now.
  6. agreed. got 3 of their nicest bibs to hide under my baggy pantses...... super chuffed with prices I paid, cant get Aa middle of the road Spez bib for what I got bloody nice Castelli bibs for
  7. bought locally, arranged and built by Andre from AP Cyclery importers are Adventure Inc.
  8. will she be the one? time will tell. chuffed with how the build came out. My Ibis Ripley V4 opted for slightly burlier build with fox36 set to 140.
  9. i came off a dh bike and a rowdy build pyga 110 29er. I was not totally useless on either. Almost ...but not totally... I have seen a lot of my pb fall to the Kingdom slowly but surely.... most surprisingly not only on the smooth fast stuff like giba..... but also on the rocky bits at howick etc..... it took a fair amount of getting used to.... she is a svelte 11kg on the dot, which for a 140mm trail bike with dropper and 4 pot brakes is pretty good.....if you are prepared to keep momentum and go for it rocks arent that much of an issue... the lightness of her makes her a tad more flickable and maneuverable... for me that is...... bearing in mind my 114kg 1.96m of bike abusing lard I flipping love mine ..... to the point I only have her left.... PYGA SOLD..... DH BIKE SOLD.... (probably to pay for the kingdom hahahahah)
  10. GIVE IT TIME DUDE!!! takes a while to settle on a hardtail again.....
  11. 64.5 degress static
  12. just in case you thought she wasnt all that rowdy looking..... check them angles
  13. leaving this here.... lovingly assembled by me myself and I she gets as lovingly abused on the trails. Kingdom Bike Vendetta X2
  14. Totally utterly mindblowingly fun..... without a doubt one of the best days out on your bike for the whole year. well run..... properly marked properly challenging rewarding technical features with time penalty for chicken run lines am stoked to see the use of open sections where you can use your initiative too awesome finish arena setup the festivities afterwards were a blast too the burger and beer (well maybe beers in my case) was the cherry on top coming 8th overall and 2nd subvet was pretty swell too...(thanks Dave and Nige for not riding hahahahah) job well done by all..... more please
