    Both bikes are great, maybe have a look at the 2019 merida big nine xt edition It’s around 17-20k, which is a lot, but its suspension and components will last you way longer than the other bikes’. And plus its a beautiful bike

    I’m not sure, you’re probably going to have to get them online if you want them new; but I have a set that I used for about half a year. I replaced them because the back brake’s master cilinder’s handlebar clamp broke, if you are able to find a clamp I’ll let them go for 2.5k

    I’ve been using shimano mt520 which is their proper low cost 4 pot enduro brakes; they work like dream.

    I use red rubber grease that comes in a 500g tub (which will last you a very long time) that I bought on Takealot for about R180. It works fine for me.

    Yeah its great but cleaning the shock and the frame where the shock mounts are will be a pain
