Hope this is the right section for this. I have a budget of 12k. My current bike hopefully can be sold for around 4k. I actually want to keep my old bike if I can. Here is my two choices http://www.scott-sports.com/gb_en/product/380/766/cr1_team OR http://www.scott-sports.com/gb_en/product/381/776/speedster_s20 The price difference between the two bikes is almost 6k. The weight difference is also minimal ,but the Speedster S20 is full on alloy and the CR1 is carbon. Should I rather save up and get the CR1 Team or go for the slightly heavier S20. Component wise they look almost identical ,but the S20 have a compact crank would should make a difference.

They call PE the friendly city. You get off the plane the wind tunes you f@ck off! Yes the wind is terrible in PE, but on Saturday morning it was at it's worst. Anyways at least I won a duvet worth R3000 in a draw so that makes up for the bad weather and the incorrect distance :-)

I know which race you are talking about Tony. The one that started at Lorraine Primary. This was my first race and I was kind of reliefed when I heard it was only going to be 80km as the wind was terrible. Also noticed on my cycle computer it was 84km.
