  1. Can you imagine the court pod-casts?
  2. Take one suggestion of mine. 'The War Zone' - nothing to do with war, a story about a family with real issues. Most harrowing movie I have ever seen, easily one of the best ever. It will stick with you for ages but it is unmissable.
  3. Sleuth. Michael Caine. Laurence olivier. Brilliant.
  4. As Nick Mallett said not one of the SA players would make the All Black/SA combined side, but we knew that before the match started. Hougaard and Jantjies are the Duminy/Parnell of the rugby world. Good enough to impress when the game is just slightly below top speed but hopeless if the competition is world class. Weirdly, I actually feel a bit sorry for them. Unlike when Streauli took some great players and mangled them into a bunch of hacks, this team really do seem to be average guys trying to do something. How much of that is politics and how much is coaching, not sure.
  5. Watched Logan Lucky yesterday. A really, really good movie that was also really uninvolving. Some very funny parts but also very understated. Seemed like the characters were stupid as hell but then cleverly but slowly showed that not to be. Probably about a 7.
  6. He took some real positives out of the game though. Said as much in his post-match interview. Unless his boys have been on the USN products again, I am not sure what he means?
  7. If only.
  8. With really stubborn Gatorskin and only one tyre lever, I reckon I was also close to 10 boiled eggs. And a tossed lever.
  9. That was my first thought. Probably can't change a tyre.
  10. It sounds like you want to eliminate sad, scary... If you eliminate funny too all you will be left with is Schuster movies?
  11. Until you have watched the drek that was Pet Sematary 2, Christine, Cat's Eye and the absolute worst which was Dream catcher you have no idea how lucky you are. I think 1408 is the only one that was even vaguely well done of his scary movies, other than Carrie and The Shining, but they aren't really scary. Of course, Shawshank and the Green Mile are right up there all time but that was because the director cared a lot. And even he stuffed up 'The Mist'. Which is why I am so happy It has gotten decent reviews.
  12. Do what I do Gen and think about the clown as Poundfoolish. No way he could be stoopid and scary. And besides you enjoy Sagz with that hideous hair/beard combo. It is scary. IT is a book.
  13. Jimmy Smits is a fine actor.
  14. Eish, we must be getting old cos I had the egg laying one, the parachute one and Donkey Kong. I know there was a fourth I had but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. Was there one with fish, or something? It's terrible when your age catches up with my what pretty colours...
  15. As someone who works with kids almost daily and who is leaving soon, and who has been really overwhelmed by how positive the feedback has been in terms of references for the future from the parents of the kids, the main thread is that the kids never see me lose my temper but I also don't put up with rubbish. That is from the kids themselves. It was something I learnt long ago, when my mom only really seriously punished me once - she took away my access to to the one thing I truly loved which in my case was sport. No anger or violence is necessary. The only teachers who beat me were the ones who couldn't teach. In my best teachers' classes noone needed to be beaten. But I will put a caveat on to this: there are kids I have had who, in my mind, at the time, I could easily have thrown with a rock. In almost every single one of those cases, the issue was not with me. And I think people who can't deal with a circumstance and who don't understand the child may be trying to tell you something, end up doing the beating in frustration. Second caveat: I haven't had to deal with a seriously disturbed/abused/violent child. I am grateful. My colleagues have and it is an unbelievably difficult thing to handle. In this circumstance, and I am generalising with hearsay, it is almost always the parents.
  16. I hope he's not actually taking it to a laundry? The taxman is vicious.
  17. At 370kg at his heaviest, he'd have been more than even you could handle. Would be like man-handling your MTB down a double black run while cracking a safe.
  18. I'm not sure if this was Froomey taking on Spartacus in a hilly timetrial or Spartacus taking on Froomey up Alpe d'Huez but I suspect one is far more suited to the other. Oh well, kaching, kaching
  19. I don't get boxing, but why? If he does, all it proves is that one of it's best is either old or not that great after all? Although if things are going slowly and M'er is defending and the crowd start baying for them to 'Box! Box! Box!' I suppose he could legitimately ask for the first time 'Who are they shouting for?' (Yeah, I know I am old and grumpy but the money going to this thing peels my banana)
  20. Cat videos? CAT VIDEOS??! If I am ever shown another cat video by the light of my life, I may actually get up at 5am in lieu of a lobotomy.
  21. If you have Duran Duran as your 'I support Conor' 'Notorious' ring tone, you have gone too far!
  22. Someone solved the issue already, it seems. Perhaps an 'Ebike d*ckery' thread is actually the way to stop this debate and let the old, feeble and rich like Myles ride their Ebikes in peace and quiet... (That may have been purposefully ambiguous... Or not ????)
  23. I know deep down that Strava is dof and could go bang tomorrow, but there is this annoying 'fair play' gene I have that makes me really want to throttle okes who don't make their things private or mark as 'e-bike' or worse, 'car'. Mostly cos I have massive respect for the actual lap time of the Savage and would give my testicle to be able to do it.
  24. Not sure how to link to the app but you can search the segments.
  25. Depends what a dangerous speed is. Seems one fellow just smashed the KOM of one of our Savages around Contermans on one of these things (there is a picture of it on the ride). Knowing how fast the Savages go, being a full 2mins faster around there must be hazardous.
