  1. Same with Pirates. Really enjoyed Wonder Woman.
  2. Apparently that is my own sense of colour, if my OH is to be believed. I must just be fashionable... eventually.
  3. Axl. Pffft... (You don't sing 'Baby, baby, baby... Baby, baby, baby' every time you see that road-machine of yours?)
  4. I put 'Kill Em All' in the car this morning and went back to school. Whiplash!!!
  5. Directed by the lady who did Monster with Charlize so it has a really serious kinda vibe but there are some really clever adult jokes too. Also the 3D we had to choose (Numetro is bloody annoying) was really good. Starting think Hollywood might finally have got it right for most bigger films.
  6. double
  7. Wonder Woman - 9/10 Easily as good as Logan and Dead Pool, not as good as the Dark Knight. Probably a mix of the first Superman (from the 80's and Logan). Subloodyperb
  8. Knowing Mamil as I do, and given his ridiculous improvement recently, I am beginning to suspect he is hiding his tricks in plain sight. His partner is a vet... #EPOL #needles
  9. And with the drought it will be worse... I went for a jaunt on a dirt road around Atlantis the other day and my gear cable snapped,it was that brutal. (Not sure if the cable was corrugation related, but it felt like it!)
  10. I'll admit, if you tell noone, that it caught me when the first post about it went up. The Russian Avengers sounded almost as interesting as there Putin/Trump -inspired Brokeback Mountain remake. Coming soon. Apparently.
  11. Different movie.
  12. Other than Terry Pratchett I have never understood fantasy and have never read a sci-fi book in the normal sense. Although I love the movies... Weird. I think it is a function of what you read as a child. I was a very, very introverted kid and I think watching Stand by Me and reading It with the parallel children's timeline sort of just gelled. I remember Dean Koontz's Phantoms, which I think was still one of the scariest things I had read. Vivid memories of a time long gone. *sigh*
  13. It was always my favourite but his best was the uncut version of the Stand that I had. But Long Walk was also right up there... Coincidence is such that I told my OH to find the Bachmann books for that specific story as she is reading his books now in conjunction with her own writing.
  14. Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy... Other than the Doctor Strange 'planet in human form' repetition it was actually good fun. I had to watch in 3D and it was actually really some of the best I have seen. Not distracting at all.
  15. That was 'Pop goes your weasel'.
  16. Don't make wookie in your office, lad. #handsolo
  17. Hmmm... Tattooine
  18. About the same, just less climbing and not as pretty
  19. Haha, ja, I have Firefox, Play Misty for Me, The Eiger Sanction... All his dodgy old movies from a distant youth. But not the ones with the chimp.
  20. My OH is a big Agatha Christie fan. So we got hold of a box set of films from the 70's and early 80's - Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express and Evil under the Sun. Quite strange watching movies where they actually went to real places and filmed real scenes without CGI. But other than being a bit slow they were actually really good. Herkuool Pwahroooh is very smart.
  21. Johnny Bravo takes offense!
  22. Anyone crash in Elastoplast Alley? pity the 25km didn't do some of the more fun S-T in the area.
  23. And DP2 put soon too... (Really hope that's not an 'it's all in the trailer' movie!
  24. I am so, so glad the new directors are doing this right. Can't wait to hear that opening tune in Dec.
  25. One of our little monsters showing who she loves best
