My Polar says 1455m climb, but the thing was not lekker so could have been more. I managed a 3:08 in the 60km. Route markers and waterpoints were really great. Meurant's new trailtag system works WAY better than the prototype. Well done on a great race. I like Giant, but the Scott has the best components. Both the Scott and the Giant is around 11,6kg with heavy wheelsets, which you can upgrade later. The Momsen is 11,9kg with an already light wheelset, those frames are very heavy. Of your choice it will be the Scott. But for that money nothing beats the Siverback Vida 1. (Fox, Shimano XT, Crest Wheelset, 11,3kg)

Try 60psi both sides. You can play with it, that table is only a guide line. The positive and negative don't have to be the same aswell. Like try 60psi for + and 50psi for -.

Ongelukkig is dit nie myne nie! Het die net een keer gery, dit was baie lekker. Dit het geen sideways flex nie, maar wel die flexstays wat 'n baie gemaklike rit gee. Die Merida het 'n laer BB as ander fietse, wat dit ook baie lekker handling gee. Ek het 'n Giant Alloy 29er so kan dit nie eintlik met ander vergelyk nie. Ander sy van die saak is dat jy met 'n R50k++ budget 'n moerse lekker custom build kan opbou.

Best is to go and ride it, the Merida is very, very good, but I haven't ridden the Spez yet.
