  1. Has anyone checked his number against truecaller?
  2. Thanks so much! See you later today.
  3. Awesome. Please weigh some Cypher Alu models as well. That is the range i'm looking at. Dash specifically.
  4. This is really ticking all the boxes. Stretches the budget a little but it should be possible.
  5. Jirrrrr. This oke is now looking for a p——-klap of note! I’m pretty sure he sold this frame 10 times over by now.
  6. Could very well be on the main road outside of Red Barn. This has happened before. Will wait for something more official. We ride there at all hours and I do a solo ride quite often. Always felt safe.
  7. This just proves a point again. All deals where you can't fetch and pay when you have the item should be done via Hub Pay. Don't trust anyone. Even if they have been a member for 20 years.
  8. Considering how many shops just replace instead of repair we really should be sold maintenance plans with bikes. Think "BMW Model" where mechanics are part fitters and nothing more.
  9. A ball park figure won't hurt. Some brands do post this. They state that the weight is for a medium with sealant for example.
  10. True story. Seen quite a few in that price bracket that ticks all the boxes.
  11. Yup. I don't want to spend more than R30k on a bike that will be used twice a month only for it to be 2kg heavier than my trail bike. I'm definitely not going to phone around asking the weight of every bike either. Will rather look at a different brand. How hard is it to update your website...
  12. Fiance and I are looking to start doing some more .... xc riding. Longer distances, gravel grinds, a little road riding here and there etc. Generally anything to put some time in the saddle and get more fit. We both have trail bikes but something lighter and more race(ish) will be cool. PS. You can recommend Titan Racing haha.
  13. Seems to be the brand of choice when asking hubbers for advice on what bike to get. My question... why doesn't the website list the weight of the bikes? My finiance and I are looking for XC bikes for training but there is no point buying something that weighs the same or more than our trail bikes.
  14. What is this beauty?
  15. During all the changing of chains etc did you ever replace the chainrings?
  16. The the vendor come to the party to replace the rim?
  17. and 1 day
  18. I’m going home later for some shaffing with my wife.
  19. Ok… what is “shaffing”?
  20. boohoo. Why did you take money for the same item from three people? Sounds like fraud to me.
  21. I have one more phone call to make and if that fails I'll definitely give you a shout.
  22. What a crock of ****. Sorry to say but this sad sack story reeks of a camp fire. At least Lionel's name (if that is even real) shows up first page on Google if you look for him.
  23. This is turning out to be a massive pain in the ass. Phoned at least 6 shops and nobody is getting back to me. Guess it is online order time from the lands far far away. @madmarc looks like I will need your help
  24. In JHB I would say Sprocket & Jack would be a good call. Further up north you can go to Cogent in Pretoria. Both shops will do an excellent job.
  25. Fit & forget is a Hope hub. Spend the extra money. I ran one for about 8 years + and when I sold it the original bearings were still smooth and the freehub still clicking nice and loud.
