  1. Not arguing that but it just does not compare.
  2. Do you WC guys realise how insanely lucky your are with the quality of riding you have down there. Even your worst trails are better than the best we have access to in GP.
  3. That does seem extremely cheap. Just my inverter and 2 x 5.5kw batteries set my back R115k. Already had the panels installed. This did include a lot of wiring but still. Make sure he uses quality components. Not some off brand chinese junk that promise 5kw battery storage but can only deliver 2kw.
  4. Interesting thing happened. Took a 3 month old Fenix 6S in with a dead sensor. Unit was replaced in just over 2 weeks. Sent back a grey 6S Solar Pro Received a titanium bronze 7S Sapphire Solar. Not complaining at all about the free upgrade but the colour is hideous. Why not replace with the same model?
  5. So it isn’t a problem them. Just personal preference.
  6. Geyser I get but why not the rest? The batteries can easily handle the discharge from a kettle. My batteries discharge daily to 50% and recharge again by 11:00 from the PV. I’ve had a geyser run by accident from the batteries. No issues.
  7. Go for Titan or Merida over Silvercrack. As for the finance part… Do what makes you happy. Life is too short.
  8. I’m used to a Pike on my Evil and the Fox 32 has no noticeable flex to me. Granted, I don’t push the Orbea in the same way but for what I use it fir the fork is perfectly fine. Oh, and, I’m around 110kg.
  9. Take it one step further. Sign up to Hubtiger to keep the customer updated. Offer a monthly package for the customer that they can pay via debit order.
  10. Do it. I see how busy the bike washes are at the local trails. I also see that pressure washer doing double duty on the bikes to rush them out. Not all bikes come put clean either. Funniest part is clean bikes are then loaded onto racks and driven back home on a dirt road. Monday wash is a much better idea.
  11. Top tip: If you are wearing those out first you should consider a bigger front chainring to better spread your load across the cassette.
  12. https://www.takealot.com/killer-deals-ultralight-sport-replacement-strap-for-garmin-fenix/PLID90807326?size=L This worked on my fiance's 6s. They claim it fits all models but I have my doubts how well it will fit the 22m. Might have 1mm gap on each side.
  13. When it gets to “luister jy nou ****** mooi vir my” you start running.
  14. Between late July and today, how much air did you lose? How many times did you inflate tyres? Almost three months to notice a valve leak? Seriously, tighten the valve and move on with life. You’re clearly looking for attention and not finding it here.
  15. This isn’t the question. Let him use 3 batteries if he wants.
  16. Have to agree with you there. Wheel size doesn't make a difference to how a bike fits if the frame size is correct and the contact points are in the right place. Wheel size makes a difference to bike handling though. Acceleration and cornering for example. But to be dead honest... it is minimal. And a rider that is going at it for the first time they won't notice. Too many posts in this thread getting way too technical.
  17. I have rotors older than some hub members and I've never seen one wear like this.
  18. Was the bike locked to the rack?
  19. All good. Splat's feedback however doesn't make me very confident. Imagine dropping the chain breaker on the trail because it is loose in the holder. I'm just playing Devil's Advocate. I have the full OneUP EDC system so I won't be buying this. Still a cool tool though.
  20. Unpopular question... Other than the compact size and the ability to clip it to the frame, what makes this any better than a small multitool with a chain breaker in your back pocket? https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/i-beam-mini-fold-up-with-chain-tool-ib-3
  21. There’s your problem…
  22. Based on those cranks I suspect you have an ISIS Drive Bottom Bracket. Might not be too common these days but a good bikeshop will be able to replace it. It is a sealed unit so you don't replace the bearings.
