  1. In JHB I would say Sprocket & Jack would be a good call. Further up north you can go to Cogent in Pretoria. Both shops will do an excellent job.
  2. Fit & forget is a Hope hub. Spend the extra money. I ran one for about 8 years + and when I sold it the original bearings were still smooth and the freehub still clicking nice and loud.
  3. JB02HE feedback. First freehub failed after 18 months and about 5000km. Hub is significantly quieter than when new.
  4. For the price it is ok to document a ride but yoh.... more head bob than a Bollywood movie.
  5. Apparently no stock.
  6. First one indeed. Thanks for checking for me.
  7. I will have to find out. Thanks for the kind offer.
  8. Looks like the part is not available locally. (No surprises there) Looking Amazon etc I guess to import. Alternative is getting a replacement lever and keeping the old one as spares then.
  9. Sorry to see this. No insurance hence the reward?
  10. Still want to ride. Might try after the weekend.
  11. Remember to stop cutting when you start thinking “maybe just one more cut”
  12. Add some specs to that advert.
  13. Too risky for my liking. Not with a bend that big. Need a new blade I think.
  14. Bent the lever quite a bit this morning. Can this be straightened at home or is it time to find a replacement blade. I’m guessing hens teeth to find for the Guide R?
  15. Another vote for Vye. Great company and products.
  16. No harshness. Sounds like a lack of cement in your diet to me.
  17. Same. Sometimes forget to unplug the unit though but my inverter + surge protector plug helps to keep it safe.
  18. Bit of a slap in the face there.
  19. Don’t grease the freehub inside. Clean and very light weight crease around the pawl springs only. This thread is all kinds of PTSD and De Ja Vu
  20. Mine is no longer as loud as it used to be which is a little sad.
  21. I could also feel the click. Replaced bearings and it persisted. Ended with replacing the freehub itself. Same hub.
  22. The standard bearings are rubbish. I need another replacement again. Lasted 8 months.
