  1. Thats what I paid for the XT. Local shop will try to warranty it. Failing that I’ll epoxy it.
  2. This is a crappy one. The top pulley wheel including the insert sheared out of the carbon cage. Was shifting at the time but not under load. Just heard the clunk and stopped immediately. I fear to ask if replacement parts are available. Will need to replace both inner and outer plates. For now I’ve replaced it with an XT unit. Terribly disappointed at this.
  3. Couldn’t get dried up Stans off with a pressure hose. ☹️
  4. If only my last clunk-clunk took 10 minutes to find
  5. Try selling a camera or laptop on Facepoop marketplace. The worms crawl out of the woodwork!
  6. I have to know.... Did you ask the seller for the size? Was the wheel size was listed in the technical description of the ad?
  7. A very unique set of skills
  8. Nope. I’ll never do that to my bike. Never.
  9. Who is going to get paid the R5 every time the soonsors name is mentioned if they don’t say the full name?
  10. As long as I don’t have to ploeg through mud and submerge my drivetrain I’m happy.
  11. On a scale of 1 to “i cant believe i have to wash my damn bike again” how dry is the cradle? I’ll cry through my bottom half if I have to sit on that trainer.
  12. I share the frustration. Due to work hours I can’t get to the trails during the week so I’m stuck on the hamster wheel while we have fantastic weather Then comes the weekend and it all turns to muck.
  13. Last I checked 139 wasn’t safe to ride anymore. Hakahana closed down. Helderkruin should still be there but i’m not if it is maintained or ridden anymore.
  14. Had a chat to the guy and unfortunately it is a used part. Would prefer a new unit with a warranty. Can you please have a look for me?
  15. Only 10 people could hit those jumps and rock gardens. My broken ribs and concussion confirmed that. Had they done more in terms of flow lines or a b-line it would have encouraged more riders to give the DH thing a go.
  16. Good to know. I think I'll ship it to Postbox Courier and bring it in that way. SAPO is definitely not an option for me.
  17. That will be this guy right? https://www.bike24.com/p2332127.html?q=fox 34 150mm Please tell me they don't ship with the post office. I see shipping is EU20. Landed will be R1250 if I calculate correctly.
  18. +1 for the performance of the Specialized Butcher tires. Good rollers with excellent grip. Also pretty damn good at clearing out mud.
  19. Lots of factors come into play but from my personal experience 1.78 puts you on the border between medium and large. You don't mention what your preferred discipline is?
  20. Sadly we just don’t have the elevation. Best we could offer was short runs like Helderkruin, Thaba Trails, Fort Klapperkop, 139 (i think) in Waterkloof and Hakahana. Harties is now your best bet Try growing up in Bloem and being an aspiring downhill racer in the 90s. That **** was the real struggle.
  21. Definitely a scam site.
  22. Could only find a 140mm kit for it though. Any chance you can get hold of a 150mm? ID is DHHW
  23. Rider weighs less than 60kg so it should be fine. We do ride Red Barn a lot but also Wolwespruit, Grootfontein, Karkloof etc when time allows. Confirmed that the Druid can be run with a 51mm offset. As they put it "We recommend a 44mm [for Fox] or a 42mm [for RockShox] fork offset as that is what we believe will best suit most riders and trail scenarios. We have tested the Druid with a 51mm offset too, which works great if you prefer a lively steering feel."
  24. Ballpark on Fox 34s? In this case the Rhythm from around 2019.
