  1. If you have a Garmin watch then you might be able to connect it to Zwift for "Indoor bike" exercise... something I still have to test but found a few useful articles that one may be able to do. From the Zwift forum: Anyone else tried this before?
  2. Any feedback on the deal? Was this legit or not?
  3. I did a ride and nothing was uploaded. Shows on Garmin Connect but not on Discovery.
  4. Only place my bike took me today was Cyclelab... new tubeless blew off the rim. Ended up walking out with a new bike for my 5yr old son...
  5. Thanks for the replies. I'll get some pool noodles as well
  6. I'm in the market for a new towball bike carrier. I require something that could carry 3 MTB's. Will the Thule Euroway G2 3 bike carrier actually fit 3 MTB's or is there something else from Thule that would work better? Anyone with experience with these... would appreciate your feedback before I make a decision.
  7. His and hers... no way she would pillion with me after riding on her own the first time
  8. Both me and the wife love motorcycling... ????

    TEAK

If they can pull something like that off I'm sure it will be great to ride there.

An old golf course would be the ideal place!

    Don't they have lions?
  12. The G3 GPS only uses one AA battery and lasts longer than you think. I switch mine on and chuck it in my Camelbak. You don't have to wear it on your arm. At the end of the day die GPS track gets exported to the same gpx or kml files. The only thing is you don't have a map while riding... not that a map on a MTB will help you.
  13. So has anyone confirmed that today was the last day or can one go tomorrow and Tuesday?
  14. Mine did exactly the same until I replaced the battery. After that the button was as sensitive as should be.
  15. Is there any way you can download the gpx track?
  16. I just went to itunes on my iphone and searched for strava. Found it immediately and installed. Did a quick test but dont know how to download track yet.
  17. Would the XT version be cheaper?
  18. I've got the same bike carrier and I also found using a pool noodle when I load two bikes helps quite a bit.
  19. Got my payback end of last month. Was quite surprised and thought it might have been a scam because there was no real reference I could understand. Phoned the bank and they confirmed it was Discovery. Discovery told me where the money came from and then I booked a nice easter holiday for the wife and me.
  20. I think the road rage can come from both sides as I saw this morning. I was in my car on my way to work this morning driving towards Lanseria, on the part of the Fourways road from Muldersdrift where there are alot of roadworks going on, when I passed two roadies driving two abreast. Now I never have a problem with them doing that and I never get into that arguement about it either. They were really taking up most of the lane giving cars a very narrow space to pass. So I did what I normally do and give them a short hoot from behind just to know I'm coming past and then I would give them a wave as I drive by them. Not this time... This was the first time I saw such an outburst by a cyclist. Telling me to f### off and pull over to name some of the thing he said. I was so shocked at the response I got that I just drove off. To the other motorists that saw that I'm sure it's another -1 points for roadies. It's a shame, because it's cyclist like those that gives everyone else a bad name. Anyhow, doesn't bother me much now, just thought I should share it. Drive safe!
  21. I had a problem with my cadence sensor. Didn't flash. Then I read on the polar forum that it only flashes for something like the first 60 secs and then not after that. I couldn't get it flashing until the next day.
  22. Not according to Malema...
  23. The only thing is that if you want to collect the items you can only collect at the CT branch. Otherwise you have to have it delivered to Jhb at a small delivery fee.
  24. I've just read through this whole thread again trying to come to some conclusion. The thing I noticed most is that most roadies jump in to defend themselves by showing that motorists break the law as well by talking on cellphones while driving for example. Most cyclists also drive cars and I'm sure they've also talked on their phones while driving. But this is not what the thread was about. The first post started by showing how some cyclists don't have any respect for other road users. Stop playing tit for tat and answer the first post. It was said that the cyclists on the photo didn't have consideration for the other drivers. Yes, there might not have been a car in sight at the time of the photo, but I'm sure there were a few. Lastly, is it safe to drive like that at times over the weekend when those roads become very busy? Ek vra maar net...
  25. Get yourself a Toyota Land Cruiser bakkie. It works! No taxi will try sneak infront of you and no motorist will give you the finger.
