  1. To be perfectly honest, I don't think talking to Cele will help. He'll just shrug it off and say something like: "Eish, a bicycle is a childs toy".
  2. The guy that ran safety and security during the world cup (not the LOC idiots, the people that had to sort out THEIR mess). He was also in charge of the taskforce that stopped all those cash-in-transit heists a while back. Head of joint operations between the police, airforce, army etc. etc. etc. And with all due respect to our new goverment, a white guy.
  3. If you use small words
  4. Not at all, I was just wondering. Send it to me, I'll make sure the right people gets it.
  5. And what will you say to him?
  6. Maybe he was hit and then had a heart attack, or the driver had a heart attack?
  7. It won't be updated yet. The CPF guys are normal guys with regular jobs etc so all this has to happen on their own time.
  8. Where is he based?
  9. I had the same wheel issue, check that your locknut on the axle isn't too tight, this will "clamp" the wheel on the axle. If that doesn't work you might need to repack the bearings. You'll have to specifically ask them to check that, it probably won't be done in a minor service.
  10. Axles fine, turns out some of the bearings shifted a bit, cone must have been a bit loose I presume. Simple repack should sort it. I'll keep you posted.
  11. It won't happen, they'll just say there's no such thing. Kinda like AIDS.
  12. Ok, so I'm just gonna go ahead and do it and if I screw up my hub irrepairably it's all on you lot!
  13. Any1?
  14. Hi All, Yesterday, coming back from a training ride, I jumped over a flower box (clearly I didn't train hard enough as I still had enough energy to fool around). Anyway, I didn't time the jump right this time (I've probably done it a million times, it's like a post ride ritual thing) and my rear wheel connected quite hard with the brick edge of the box. So my back wheel goes flat. After repairing the puncture today (yes, I do know how to patch a tube) I wanted to ride again this afternoon only to realise this sort of grating noise coming from my rear hub. On closer inspection I saw that my casette only turns half a turn and then gets stuck. Well, sort of. I can still turn it all the way around but it doesn't sound very nice when I do it so I decided it might be a better idea not to do it. So tomorrow I'm off to buy a casette tool so I can try to sort out my hub. Any advive as to what might be the problem or stuff I should avoid doing or helpful tips or obnoxious comments will be appreciated. Thanks! Oh, btw, its a Shimano Deore hub
  15. Hahaha, that was just me being bored!
  16. Just set it up yourself, google fr der setup, there's plenty of usefull articles (think the best one was on park tools website, but not quite sure) you'll be amazed at how easy it is. Mine is set up so I can ride in any gear on any cog and theres absolutely no rub.
  17. Haha, yesterday leturbo called me an amoeba, now I'm a "mensch". Still thinks he was just funning though.
  18. Apparently he was just daydreaming while riding and hit the front brakes too hard when he realised he was swerving into the road. Flipped over the bars.
  19. Thanks for all the nice comments guys
  20. This is not about making a difference in the broad sense of the concept, it's about supporting and helping a family who lost a loved one. A wise man once said it is impossible to respect someone else if you can't respect yourself. You have made that perfectly clear to me.
  21. Definately, it reads like a Jacob Zuma speech
  22. Nah, you can piss and moan here, thats what its for
  23. I'm just worried that nobodys going to stop when I'm lying in the middle of the road!
