  1. My pleasure as I'm always game to increase the amount of DJer's in Gauteng. New you can check out Mikes Bikes or go to O-Bikes. Some good buys there and they will have it delivered to your nearest bike store Check out the classified section here as now and again a good bike pops up for sale If money is not a variable check out the Kona Bass that is in the adds.
  2. Just a quick note Some of those bikes mentioned above are 26" and not 24" If you want to use it for a bit of DJ I would recommend something with suspension on the front. This is merely to take the sting out when landing hard. Out of all the bikes that you have on the list I would recommend the Brave Machine 202 and this is based merely on the price/spec. Also spares for a 26" bikes is readily available where spares for a 24" might be a bit of a ball ache to get hold of. Note that I do not have personal experience with any of these bikes on your list. On the flip side you should maybe look local as the shipping charges plus the import charges on a complete bike is going to put you well out of what you can get it locally for. Since you are new to the 24"/26" game maybe even look at some of the used bikes for sale as should you then not enjoy it you can always flog it without losing too much
  3. Thanks for the replies I'm currenlty running a 66 ATA 2008 with the little red dot in the arch an have nothing but good to say about this fork. I have put this poor fork through the ringer(DJ and DH) and so far not a single weap of oil nor any play.
  4. I'm looking at buying a Marzocchi 888 RCV 2009 model. Anybody out there that could tell me if they are any good or not? Searched the internet on got mixed reviews so any help would be appreciated
  5. Nope no front brakes for this bike as I'm running the Halo hub that is DJ specific

  7. Omega check out the Torque 5.0 This should be in the region of 20K with import duties http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=2089 Just remove the front derailler and slap on a chain device. This is not a full on DH bike but I'm sure that it will be a bag of fun down any hill and on some dj
  8. That is soooo pretty!
  9. My 2cents I haven't used the Park Tool nor the Topeak stand so can't comment on those but I did buy myself the BikeTool Folding Stand http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15815 I can't fault this stand and can get a DH bike toptube into that clamp Oh and it is also a bit cheaper
  10. Jabawakee411 that build looks amazing. What frame is that?
  11. Here you go http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=41851
  12. Thanks pathces but my medical aid is depleted for the year
  13. Off Topic I wonder how it must feel hitting a jump at those speeds and how amazing that airtime hang time must feel
  14. Thanks Cap
  15. I'm sorry for diggin up this old thread but Mxkid77 is that rear shock that you posted about still floating around? 240mm rear shock wanted
  16. You want to go do big drops on this?
  17. So who is in the market for a kidney? I might have one to sell
  18. That sucks Hope you find it
  19. nox1111 I will post a picture of my jump steed under the jump bike thread as I don't want us to derail this thread
  20. patches what length cranks you after? Going from 175mm to 170mm made a huge difference to my jump bike and it just seems to have settled it down a bit. If those cranks as listed above are your only options go for the Saints nox1111 I'm also itching to go the BMX crank route so maybe a little order to CRC should be placed
  21. nolipoli props to your mate for trying this. I sure hope he didn't get hurt.
  22. Where are the landings? I sure hope I'm missing something
  23. Normally I don't like telling people what to do and try keep my nose out of their business but I have to give my 2cents on this. Jarek.pski I strongly recommend you to re-consider this attempt of yours. Rather come and join us at the spruit/DHL line and learn how to jump first. Attempting a back flip whether it being on dirt, water or some kind of cushion is no small feat. Seeing a fellow rider go down is no fun
  24. Just came across this thread. Well here is a picture of an Intense Uzzi VPX that I built up last year. It truly was an amazing machine but I sold the frame due to having to many toys in the garage
