    Argus 2012

keen to do my second one, this year was my first but did it with the gf, literally pushed her the last 20kms, hahah i was stuffed after that, aiming for sub 4, considering i dont own a road bike and borrowed one last year, this could be fun
  2. bmx bikes are hardly ever kept original. Def better than a burner, you could easily get the same for it if u needed to sell again

  8. we have red sand in our area, works great and dries rock hard. also sometimes mix some cement in with the top layers of sand to make it stronger. as above use whatever you can underneath to avoid using soo much soil, we even had an old fridge under a jump at one point

  11. hahah not my seat post went down onto my shocks shaft while i was going at break neck speed down sani pass , its a bit of a crap design on mongoose's part . but it has been changed on their newer models.
  12. a floating dock that was at hazelmere dam many moons ago, well we happened to up end the bladdy thing being the teenagers we were at the time it had a basic steel frame with wood on top, covered with felt in this case, underneath it had big chunks of polystyrene, it was pretty buoyant and would prob do the job but each piece of poly was about 1000mmx500mmx500mm and that went to each section of the jetty. it'd need some trial and error to get the balance point right between too buoyant and not

  14. thanks, guess i should just phone them
  15. if i have my bike on insurance and manage to break a component, frame, shock, what have you, obviously the smaller parts arent an issue, but the big $$$ parts, would they cover the replacement?
  16. they are busy changing trails and that from what i have heard. But when i go i havent been with people that know the routes. The signage and course marking is bad and you end up contra flow on trails and also find myself on different trails. Def some good riding. The anti gravity course was awesome last i went.
  17. I managed to badly ding/damage my rockshox MC3.1 rear shock's shaft this weekend. is it possible to get a replacement shaft to fix this or would i need to get a new shock? if the latter, what would be recommended as an equivalent or better shock for AM riding, its 190x50mm baring in mind i am looking for the best deal, value for money, bang for buck and all that nonsense thanks
  18. goto virginia. U wont be disappointed. There is more than 40km worth of trails and you can mix and match and have a great ride. We have been there at 630 and cycled so time isnt much of an issue. It is colder in the mornings now tho. Was 5 degrees last time we rode haha. Giba is a mess at the moment, signage is terrible and the trails not that well kept compared to virginia
  19. 51 this weekend and it was my 4th time riding mtb clocked 76 odd on the road tho
  20. geeez i figured there'd be at least SOME support

  23. damn i only have 6 inches i think i may have to visit this tokai place one day if i ever road trip down that side from durbs
  24. i had a good chuckle at some xc riders this past weekend, stopping and carrying their mtb's over some small branches. mate and i proceeded to ride/bunnyhop over them much to the dismay of the onlookers. i swear they were roadies in disguise. on the shoe topic. i have a pair of axo freeride shoes. look like takkies, have a stiff sole and clipless. work good for me, not a huge amount of tread but i havent fallen yet, they have you usual 'shoe' tread tho
  25. hahaha that black bike seems to be popular
