  3. Hi there Peader Maybe a sore knee MIGHT be SS related due to the higher torque pedaling. But, a sore neck and back will be fit related. The first sugns of a poor setup will be a sore neck, back and hands, and of those symptoms you have two. If you are very comfy on amother bike, try and mimic your setup from there as best you can, and then, and ONLY then HTFU Happy hoopin
  4. GEAX doesn't fit on Stans. You can get them on, and in the process damage your rim, but you will need a scissor to get them off! Ride Stan's rims ONLY, and no tyre issues (other than Geax not fitting). Conti Bontrager Vredenstein Schwalbe, these fit the best!
  5. Kandui, Get a Thomson seatpost clamp!!! I have the exact bike and components as you (in this regard). Steps to follow: 1. Remove all components 2. CLEAN the inside of the frame and the seatpost 3. Apply ParkTool Supergrip carbon and alloy assembly compound to the inside of the frame, the inside of the seatpost clamp and on the seatpost (a thin layer is OK). No need for double clamping here... Reassemble and torque to spec. Whoilla Enjoy
  6. Formula brakes have a SRAM matchmaker. The R1 are the SHIZZZZ!!! Also have a set of Formula RX, REALLY happy with them as well, if you take the R1 to RX price differential into consideration. Formula's are GREAT!!!
  7. Hi Thug I actually had a look at them, but they do not have a mylar sheath that suits the diameter of the Niner Air9 Carbon BB shell. A mm or 2 out. So far so good. Will keep you posted
  8. Apply some Quadriderm cream. From your pharmacy. It is a cream with some cortico0steroids in, and solves almost ANY dermatological ailment. Try and cover up the area during your rides, that the seam doesn't irritate the troubled spot further. Happy hoopin

  11. Hi guys Anybody have issues with their EBB???? I have a NINER Air 9Carbon, and ABSOLUTELY in love with my bike. The Niner EBB gave me grey hair, in the sense that it creaked and slipped. The maintenance on this killed me, as I needed to re tighten after every ride. With the Niner EBB I tried all 9 different methods of fitting, the carbo-grip option, the carbon assembly paste option, the plumbers tape option (this one, I got an even thicker plumbers-tape, and that was the closest I got to a slip and creak free EBB) Now, I got tired of the hassle, and after some hours of research, I made contact with some guys in the US. Received my new Bushnell ebb last week, fitted with a shim (for the niner's shell diameter) and a weeks care free, creak free, adjustment free riding. They have 2 models. I opted for the "retro" older one, as then the expanding force pushes out along the full shell vs the full EBB circumference, vs just the "shoulders" of the skeletonised "featherweight" ebb option. Loving it, and now I have a TRULY "maintenance free" bike in my SS. Happy hooping

  14. Die enamel van sy tande afgeklap...
  15. Q1; NO Q2; NO Q3; NO, why, to beat the fat guy on the 200k Pinarello??? Spend my money on a new bike and then ride my new bike in NICE places
  16. Still, doping for money or to earn a living is WAAAYYY different from doping to perform better in a weekly club ride... I stand on my opinion: ABSOLUTE stupidity (recreational...)
  17. My comment refers to... RECREATIONAL... cyclist. Who do you want to beat, Kevin Evans, Bradley Wiggins, or the FAT guy on the 200k Pinarello next to you. Absolute stupidity!!! Biggest and best competitor, compete against yourself!!! You know, that little voice in your head... Those alone days where you hear everything but you haven't said a word... Yes that guy!!! No amount of EPO will get you to beat him. Train insane or remain the same
  18. 20k is a ripoff!!! You can get a more than half decent NEW bike for that price. Add a 3k and you get a carbon Momsen 29" with XT grouppo. Happy Hoopin (on a NEW hoop, for that $)
  19. But WHY???
  20. It is laughably simple. 1. Get on 2. Pedal 3. OPTIONAL; Brake (the use of pansy-levers) That is it. I feel like a laaitie on my BMX, that gave me wheels to freedom! You just smile while cruising on your SS PS, last week on a night-ride, some of the guys only noticed further than half way through a 55km ride, that I was riding SS... Not really slower at all. I know some guys that will kick the geared butts of more than 80% of the racers out there.
  21. That in mind, we gonna kk!!! The only flat area's in Hilton the the bed you sleep on and the loo you sit... Therefore, HILL-ton!!! Ton's of Hills
  22. Lekker DUDE!!! Pitchas or it didn't happen...
  23. To second what Rollin said... I did a sub 5hr Crater cruise marathon, and cut over 40min off my previous time, WITH GEARS!!! And not in my best form yet. Next year I am racing the Crater marathon, and aiming for a sub 4h30 time. LOTSA fun!!!
  24. Yep Yep, that would be a keeper...
