  1. Hi Hubbers As I am sure everybody has been doing, I have been keeping an eye on indoor trainer prices, as the cabin fever is getting to me. A week ago, most online retailers had the Wahoo Kickr 4 at R19 999. This week, it is priced at R24 999. That is a 5k jump. I understand the R/$ exchange rate and then some, but in the last month (I take it that stock will be ordered systematically), the exchange rate only changed around 12%, and that is far from the 25% on the trainer price jump. 16th of March 2020 it was R16.63 to 1$ 16th April 2020 it is R18.74 to 1$ Seems excessive. Anyone else noticed?
  2. Looks nice, but sure once the shock pressures are tuned in they are tuned in, and you can dot them down and top up to that. Don't quite understand how this will be something fitted permanently on a bike...
  3. Maybe your tyres were leaking air anyway before the Prepsol. Hope yoou get it sorted soon Happy Hoopin
  4. No chain, no no no... NO Brakes!!!! Yeah Yeah Yeah. Respect, that must have taken some brass B's
  5. One or two sizes smaller chainring maybe... Happy hoopin
  6. Hi DirtyFrank Who installed the needle bearing for you? Did you require special tools? And, where did you say you ordered the RWC from? Oh yes, what about the lower / bottom bushing? Did you get 2x sets of bearings and fitted top and bottom? Thx
  7. Hi Droo I also have this from time to time on my Niner RIP9 rear shock. Replace the bushings on average every secind time I service the shock. My question to you, is will those RWC needle bearings solve this completely or last significantly longer? Hope you can help
  8. Yep, look crc and searched garmin... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/s?q=garmin Must be sales restrictions and deals that the local distributors have with the parent companies. So we keep on getting shafted harder in sa. Always had an issue with being able to buy stuff in foreign currency at RRP, include international shipping and still cheaper than buying locally in SA. And so my Saturday is stuffed up. Thx

  10. If the 180g is beating you up, take a pee before you ride... Get the Flow, less trouble and less maintenance. Fit and forget!!!
  11. The one that doesn't bite you in the arse. A saddle is a very personal thing, so try before you buy. The best value for money might fit your pocket, but might just not fit you rear end. Try a few

  13. Get Gorilla duct tape, and cut to size (width). Lasts super long and leaves no glue gunk residue when removed. And oh yes, did I mention waterproof for your sealant... Get from Campers outdoor
  14. Funny, NO, I am not advertising extra curricular activites...
  15. Hi Devm10 Happy building / stripping. Have a beer, take your time and start maybe around 34x19 (29er) 34x16 (26" bike) I have a tensioner or two for sale here... https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/100499-dmr-ss-chain-tensioner/https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/100499-dmr-ss-chain-tensioner/ https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/100499-dmr-ss-chain-tensioner/ This is going be the most fun you will have with your legs together... PM me if interested. Thx
  16. First thing, Use a bolt clamp like mentioned above. Then, use a LITTLE grease and carbon assembly compound mixed, and cover the inserted and clamped part on the seatpost. Torque to spec and problem solved. Many happy miles...
  17. Also, clean or replace your rotors. New / clean rotors with sanded and clean brake pads should not leave a squeal. PS, remember you need to break them in again after all this cleaning. The Webcol acohol swabs work a charm If after ALL of this you still have a squeal, there is something else on your bike that rattles under braking. Hop you find the source of troubles soon
  18. NO MORE BRAKING ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! Copper slip all the way down...
  19. Real nice!!!!! Keep posting pics as the build goes on PLEASE!!!! Love that bike
  20. Battery Then wash the strap well after rides. I think the electrolites in the sweat concucts additional currents. Then, wet the strap well before you ride. Hope you get this solved, frustrating
  21. Geez dude, you should ride with the elite men and beat most of them. I ride a 1x 10 system, 34T and 12-36 at the back, and top end gearing spins out around 48km/h. So if you sustain that (and spin out of gears) on the flats you could / should win the next epic. Happy hoopin
