1. Did they say what the difference was between the two ave speeds? 2. Did they say how much further he cycled? 3. Also did he burn less Calories, and if so how much less Calories?

I have learnt my lesson, next time I will pay the extra fees, to have a registered parcel from CRC think it's 5-10 pounds. not a lot of money! but worth it knowing where my stuff is!

Would an easy study not just to be to take 10 cyclist, give them their bikes, but without cleats and let them cycle 60km's. measure the heart rate calories, ave speed, time traveled and top speed. then take the exact same 10 cyclist add cleats, run the same test again with the same conditions and then compile a report? who wants to be a guinea pig?

Ok so more power tranfer! is there a percentage that can be linked to it?

I shave the same issue as you do COS, I emailed then after 10 working days. the reply was the following: Hi There, Please accept our apologies that you have not received your parcel. Hi All, We all cycle with our Shimano's, eggbeaters etc. We all know know that we use a lot less energy than what cyclist do using old pedals without Cleats. But Something I have been wondering about is: 1. How much more power output does one get using Cleats? 2. How much more energy do we safe using Cleats?

I have just ordered from CRC as well, when you use the "ECONOMIC SERVICE" you don't get a Tracking number as it is shipped with normal mail. Wait 5-8 working days. If you don't get your package, query it with CRC

to me route mapping is at this stage more important, I can download my rides to my computer and I "try" to build a cycling log with all of the rides.

Hi Tank, I use my cycling computer, together with my phone. My phone does not have a heart rate monitor, as I only started cycling 5 weeks before 94.7. At the moment I do not see the relevance of a heart rate monitor. My phone does however give me a much more accurate reading on how far I have cycled. true speed and it also maps the routes that I have cycled. I put my phone into one of my backpockets on my shirt.

my phone does the same as what a Garmin does. And the nice thing is it doesn't cost extra money for using the tracking service

I would take the mounting bracket to an engineering firm. And get them to make it of a stronger material. I think will be expensive
