  1. Going for my first 56K this year. I just want to finish. i would like to go sub 6 but even a blue medal will be great! Also doing the Peninsula as my qualifying marathon. The Peninsula will also be my first marathon that I did not have to swim 3.8Kms and ride 180Kms before I could run...
  2. I might be wrong... but with my X9 crank they just removed both the blades and the Spider that holds the blades and did the direct mount WOLFTOOTH. (See link below) http://www.evobikes.co.za/components/chainrings/wolf-chain-ring-set-gxp-direct-mount.html Phone Janos or Naas at EVO Bikes... They are experts at the 1x10 conversion thing.
  3. That is exactly what I did. I had a complete X9 -2x10 groupset and converted to X9 1x10.... I replaced my old derailer with a type2 (clutch) X9 derailer en got a 32T Wooftooth Chainring. All from Evo Bikes. The type 2 derailer combined with the Wooftooth blade works great and I have yet to drop a chain or anything in 2 weeks of riding... i just have to get stronger...
  4. Janos hooked me up with a WOLFTOOTH (1x10) conversion about 2 weeks ago and I am loving it so far....
  5. Got mine at BMT in Stellenbosch.... (2 years ago... ) Maybe they still stock it!!
  6. Rode up old Helshoogte about a month ago. There was a security guard at the bottom gate and he just politely opened the gate and let us in... Easy as that!!!
  7. Our first OFFICIAL TEAM training ride will be on the 28th of Sept leaving from Paarl if you want to join us. +- 130Kms including Du Toits and BainsKloof.

  9. So who is doing this... Dr Evil Classic 3 Day Stage Race followed by the Karoo to Coast... 4 days of great riding. I'm in....
  10. We have had a team with the best Argus time = 2.48 and the slowest 3.15 and we only managed a 7:40 DC...most guys are fine with 110 Kms but it all changes at +160Kms. Like MTB-Roadie said: Sharing the work upfront makes a huge difference and doing those longer hilly training rides...
  11. Thanks... but i really want to go wider... I think a 680mm will also do...
  12. Has anybody brought in some MTB Carbon Handlebars? Price? I am urgently looking for a 700mm Carbon Flat bar.
  13. Was looking into getting one.... but went with the Suunto Ambit instead. Still it seems like a great watch.... Here is an Awesome review: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2010/08/timex-ironman-gps-global-trainer-in.html
  14. My New "Super Training Partner and Watch".... and it makes me faster
  15. Thanks for the help! Did you get the info form the DC site? I can't seem to find it.
  16. I know it is going to be different than previous years.....but am I right when I am saying that our "Team Support Vehicle" will only meet up with us in Ashton? Ashton is at +- 110kms into the race. What happens before that in terms of support? Will we have to rely on water-points till we get to Ashton? http://www.coronatio...-vehicle-route/
  17. Awesome video and my current favourite "SIKED-UP CYCLING" song...
