  1. Apparently Froome was spotted in the Cape Winelands yesterday
  2. Too cute, can I have him/her?
  3. That just made me cry. We had a scare about 6 weeks ago. Sebastain our schnauzer had a bleeding mass next to his bum. Turns out that intact male dogs commonly get peri-anal tumours, which are driven by testosterone. So Sebastain had the worst day of his life: He had a hole cut out of his bum, his balls cut off and came home with a cone around his neck! After a horrible week waiting for the histology result it all came back benign and Sebastian will live to tell his horrible tale.
  4. Perfect way to end a day of the most perfect trails
  5. Ha ha, do you know how much sugar is in chutney? Sure that is against banting rules...
  6. Soon it will be moderate dairy, moderate animal fats, moderate carbs and moderate portions?
  7. Power balance bracelets are banned by UCI? There goes my W2W podium
  8. That is stunning!
  9. It makes you realise how privileged we are to be able to ride out there. We do live in a special place.
  10. The logo looks like an alien on a bike, could have been called the Roswel cycle tour. But then it appears that aliens don't need seatposts or bars to ride either.
  11. Pictures, plsThanks, love the gold decals
  12. was on 18 tooth have just gone to 20tooth. Biggest problem is accepting I am a mortal!
  13. But no XL
  14. We are going in December, I do fear for the heat a bit.
  15. So much fun, but has given me a bit of tendonitis in my knee
  16. Do you think the driver feels any remorse for killing an innocent couple? If it were me I wouldn't be able to live with myself but it seems SA citizens lack any compasion for fellow man. This has really upset me.
  17. Tragic, it makes me feel sick
  18. What a great idea, lets hope it grows.
  19. What you can do is strip the Anthem for the fork and groupset, buy a 650b frame and wheels from the classified, or a chinese carbon and sell your frame and wheels on thehub. I just did that and loving my 650b trail bike.
  20. I am 156cm and weigh around 55kgs. If your gf wants a 29er then a hardtail is probably best, I still can't find a DS 29er that I fit on. Otherwise a 27.5 FS you should be able to get a regular guys frame in small. My bikes: 1 - Small Spez fate is ladies specific 29 HT and it climbs like a demon. 2 - Small Scott Genius 27.5 FS is a male frame and fits like a glove 3 - On one 26er SS I got the extra small frame, very happy with the handling of the x-small frame and glad I chose it over the small. Don't get her a frame that's too big, even if its a good deal/on special etc, she won't thank you for it.
  21. On an anthem the rear wheel won't be convertable but if the fork is a fox then the front is possible, for what its worth.
  22. Another concern about the LCHF diet is the role of animal proteins in colon cancer. I was at a diagnostics forum last year where Prof Luc Montagnier (Nobel winner for discovering HIV) and Prof Harald Zur Hauzen (Nobel winner for link between HPV and cervical cancer) both gave a presentations. Zur Hausen presented data on the role of beef in increasing incidence of colon carcinoma. Again long term studies are the key. The WHO has two long term studies up on their website both with show a role for diets low in animal fats: http://www.who.int/entity/chp/media/en/north_karelia_successful_ncd_prevention.pdf http://prevention.stanford.edu/ My take, as a pathologist - use comon sense, everything in moderation.
  23. Well done Nils. Considering the bad PR he has received on theHub over the years, this is a completely different side we are hearing about. - Apologies was thinking Neils of Neils wheels in plumstead. Sorry Nils.
