    RIFLE

so I've just bought a Rudolph scope that comes with electronic ear muffs as part of the package. I don't particularly need the ear muff so I'm putting them up for sale as soon as it arrives next week. They seem to go for between 900 and just over R1000 new. Will take R800 for them. Anyone interested?

like your work DJR I just bought one of these: https://karoooutdoor.com/products/rudolph-varmint-v1-5-25x50-riflescope-30mm-tube-with-t3-illuminated-reticle not from these guys or at this prices but this cope
  3. I just bought a 2.4m long fairly solid wooden workbench for R200 off a guy on facebook market. Looks full of oil but for R200 I don’t mind putting a bit of effort in to try and clean it Finally I'll have a bit of a work space in my garage

Let's not get started on having a custom rifle built, completely from scratch, or I might just start of a story that took 20 years from start to finish - do tell:) I'd like to the buy the barrel and action already assembled and just drop it into a chassis that I know it'll fit into

Question: I’d like to purchase a barrel action and seat it into a chassis. Do I license the barrel action in the same manner as a normal rifle? Or is it easier to purchase a second hand complete rifle and then just change the chassis

there are a few other things I need to improve on. Trigger control etc I'm using a standard rifle rest which isn't the most stable but it worked. Am considering a bipod soon. The scope is a remington 4x40 wide angle and it's a fixed magnification scope. I'll get a pic of the cross hairs. The target is a busy target and next time I'll use a simpler target with less on it. I like the idea of darkening the lines etc I aim at the centre every time

thanks DJR. But at 100m I can't see the holes I've shot on the target:( at 50m it's not great either so I need something that allows me to see what I've shot and at least aim at the same spot.

super happy with todays shooting. Due to the lack of a great scope I pulled back to 50m. These were y two best groupings 57.8 gr and 58 gr This was 4 shots at 50m

Thanks we've got a family farm in the karoo and apparently the springbok population is doing fairly well. I can hunt there but it's a bit of a drive.

So I had a great day doing some load development. Howa 270 PMP once fired brass Magnum primers S361 powder 130gr sierra pro hunter bullets Load 3 rounds in 0.5 gr increments from just above minimum recommended to just below maximum recommended Recorded fps per load and then averaged the 3 rounds out. The took std deviation for the 3 rounds. Attached is the data. Groups were ok and good enough to start off with. Load dev 02022020.xlsx
