overall length between 81 and 85 I think. 85 is probably too long Haven't got factory ammo to test

Thanks DJR and help.me It's twice fired brass and we did a full resize on it. we also played around with lengths and shortened one to see if it goes in better. But am going to someone else today or tomorrow who's loaded for years and apparently know's his stuff so we'll hopefully find the problem

    RIFLE

super super frustrating evening. Picked up my rifle, cleaned everything up and all looks great. Then tried to cycle the rounds we loaded and then the problems started. Most didn't cycle but can't figure out why. Played around with length but lots got jammed. Going to get another opinion tomorrow. Very frustrated

honestly think I'll just throw these away and right off as school fees. Most of them I was given and wasn't plan to use as my main cases. Oh well Thanks for all the help

the guys that suggested caustic soda is a very keen shooter, although he's not had his own tumbler. Going to through the soda away Stealth brass- will i have to clean each case individually?

    RIFLE

So my dad recently made a brass tumbler and it works ok. But on the advice of a friend I made a mixture containing caustic soda to clean the cases. I then had issues with the container that I was using and ended up leaving the cases in the mixture for 2 days while I tried to get a new waterproof container. When I opened the original container up after two days to transfer the cases to the new one, all my cases had gone black. 140 fairly clean brass cases now are terribly blackL Fortunately they weren’t the main lot of cases that I was planning to use and I have enough other cases. But it’s a bit annoying. Does anyone perhaps have a solution to fix this that doesn’t involve cleaning each case individually?

just got the sms to say my license has been approved. around 3.5 months from the date I submitted it at my local DFO.. now another couple of weeks wait for the actual license and then time to go shoot some paper or steel. Going to tell my colleagues that if I don't arrive one morning in December they mustn't worry, I'm just at the range Time to load a few rounds as well in preparation for the day

    RIFLE

nice looking rifle I got down to the range for the first time in ages. I'm still waiting for my license to come through so shot a friends 270 with a load we did we shooting pmp brass, 90 grain sierra bullets with a 61 grain load. Speed through chrono was hitting 3300fps. Grouping ok as we had a very strong cross wind that wasn't consistent. Really can't wait for my rifle to come through

have had great fun learning to load rounds... don't worry I don't have them on my premises, they are stored with a friend who has a license. It's been 3 months or around 55 working days so far for my licence so hoping it'll be soon now.

    RIFLE

so I've pretty much got everything i need to starting shooting as soon as my license is approved. I've got a silencer, loaded 100 rounds and all sorts of other stuff. The next item I'm on the look for is a silencer cover to reduce the effects of the heat. Has anyone got some recommendations on inexpensive options.
  13. in my youth i did something stupid like this as well. We were doing a tour that took us on the N2 and I caught a truck the one occasion. Sat behind him slightly to the left, but still stupidly behind him, Anyway we were doing 90-100km/hr rolling along. It was amazing and I covered a substantial distance very quickly. But not the brightest idea

I am waiting for my license to come through but have started loading some rounds with a friend. He purchased the primers and powder and has kept the rounds at his place as I'm not allowed to without a license. But am I allowed to purchase primers without a license? Or do I need him to buy it
  17. it won't count towards anything unfortunately. I've not bothered to do mine because I'll get nothing for it

Did 5 different powder loads ranging from 56 grain to 61 grains, also 5 of each totaling 30 rounds In total only 30 rounds Have a few cases left over and have a 100 sierra 90 grain bullets that I'll load soon.
