    RIFLE

so I had some fun last night doing my first loads. Brass: 270 PMP cases Powder Somchem S361 Primers CCI 250 magnum rifle primers Did a load of 20 nosler 140 grain rounds. Did 4 different powder loads ranging from 56 grains to 59. 5 bullets at each load totaling 20 rounds Did a load of 30 peregrine 120 grain rounds. Did 5 different powder loads ranging from 56 grain to 61 grains, also 5 of each totaling 30 rounds In total only 30 rounds Have a few cases left over and have a 100 sierra 90 grain bullets that I'll load soon. Was quite fun but need a better scale and powder dispenser

    RIFLE

So I’ve been advised that I can use S361 as a replacement for s365 on my 270 rounds if I use a magnum primer. Any with experience on this? Is it necessary to use a magnum primer?

    RIFLE

thanks. I have a buddy who has all the loading kit and I've been given around 150 cases and bullets. So all I need to purchase are the primers and powder to load these ones. I don't plan to spend the money on all the kit but will chip in with this guy. Loading is more about having fun together Will have a look at jaracal

    RIFLE

So I’ve been given a few cases and bullets to load a few and figure out what works best for the 270 howa rilfe I’ve just purchased. I’ve been given pmp cases and a combination of 90 grain sierra verminter, 120 grain peregrine and 140 grain nosler ballistic tip bullets So I’m looking for advice on two things What bullet grain would your recommend and What powder replacement for the 365 would you suggest? 365 is proving challenging to get hold of I realize that that there are soo many variables at play but assuming I’m just starting out and will be shooting up to maybe 200m to start out with and just figuring out what works best for my rifle, what would you recommend I use?

    RIFLE

Morning I’ve been given the following that I’ll be reloading over the next few months in anticipation of the approval of my license. Hopefully I’ll be shooting these by December. I’ll be shooting a Howa 1500 .270 Brass once fired cases: 76 pmp cases 52 R P cases 29 winchester case Tips 100 sierra verminter 90 grain 30 peregrine 120 grain 20 nosler ballistic tip 140 grain Looking for recommendations on combinations of the above for reloading or does the combination of cases and tips not really matter?

    RIFLE

very cool. The .22 bug has bitten bad....i really want one. But will have to wait for my current license to come through and finish paying for this first rifle before I buy another. Although my wife already approves because she wants to come shooting as well. Saw a few good looking .22 rifles for R1k yesterday
  21. if you decide to maybe dispose of it let me know. I've been wanting a bench and was thinking of a 2.5-3m long bench.

    RIFLE

was hoping to shoot a hornet over the week end but we didn't get time. There's a nice hornet for sales on one of the gun sites at the moment A friend of mine has had a few .22's licensed without any problem. Would probably use the motivations you all list. Chepar ammo to practice will get motivations from a few farms I am access to. My inlaws have a farm as well so hopefully will be ok any will enter the .22 sports shooting series But will only get it next year so we'll see

    RIFLE

went shooting a .22 on Saturday. Just pigeons and guinea fowl on a small farm. What a load of fun. Drove around in the bakkie and shot out of the vehicle. The farmer was happy as they eat his seeds and we had loads of fun. Have to look for a .22 now:)
  24. thanks. it was that first part I couldn't find. appreciate the help
