  1. Registered and paid up, will be my 1st!
  2. Troisport in Chilly Lane Centre (Rivonia)
  3. The TT position was not made for comfort. It can be more comfortable with the correct saddle & setup, but will never be comfortable. Especially if you are going to be in that position for many hours...
  4. A lot of the guys use proper riding pants for the bike and change into running pants for the run. the xtra 30 seconds to get out of your bibs and into running pants is insignificant on a 12+ hour day.
  5. I also have never crapped during a race, but twice during long runs I had to go. It really gets quite painful if you try to keep it in for too long...
  6. I got 70km/h the other morning and I was thinking to myself if I go off these rollers now it was going to be ugly!
  7. Garf, with logistics we meant no 2. No 1 can go right down your leg, you don't have to stop for that. That's what the pros do
  8. +1 for the door frame and rolling will smooth out your pedal strokes. I roll once a week for an hour and my pedalling efficiency is much better. In my mind there is no better way to train indoors.

  10. Ja, 1 piece is lekker for Half or Olympic.
  11. +1. Best advice for a 1st open water swim. If you get caught in the washing machine 1st time round it can get a little rough
  12. Also if you take the specsaver discount you have to run in their vest. Most mortals will advise to go with a 2-piece, because of the logistics
  13. 1st time I've seen this. The "drop off" will create the same effect as the Adamo design. They probably did that to not transgress the Adamo patent. But for that price I'd go for the tried and tested and well loved Adamo.
  14. The full course is tough enough. I'll be enjoying my gears, thanks!
  15. @snafu, I also pondered the Adamo issue for quite a while and then got a great deal on the Adamo Road saddle. I'm using it for TT & road. I will never ride another saddle ever again. The initial investment is large, but your perinial nerve will thank you!
  16. Have a look at Total Immersion on youtube. And don't freak out when you hit the open water!
  17. Hi All, We're going to Hibberdene for a week or so. Are their any routes you can suggest to use / avoid for road biking? (I'm looking for a nice +- 80km route) Thanks.
  18. The sprint distance is doable on little training, so don't psych yourself out on this. Just go and enjoy it. You'll probably not place in the top 10, so nobody will worry about your time
  19. nice! enjoy...
  20. The best spinning bike is your road bike on rollers.
  21. My personal opinion, go with clinchers - a breeze to fix, should you puncture. And the performance gains for us mortals are negligible, except if you are going for a sub 9 IM!
  22. Hi Trinut, Where abouts are you located? Troisport in Jhb can do a fitting for you at around R400. Best to have a good setup done 1st time round, later, when you are more skilled, you can DIY.
  23. +1 for the tri shorts. That't the way to go. Check out www.capemulti.coza - they have New Balance Tri shorts for under R400. They are as good as the rest at a very low price
  24. Already entered! Big up on splitting the 2 races. The 09h00 start for the full this year was made the run hot as hell.
