  1. I chatted to a guy who tends to the maintenance of the trail late Dec He has a team that goes around and is paid by the Cradle of Humankind/local government Hope he comes back as he was cutting the long grass
  2. Howzit Rode just the Greek church loop on my own today and was fine. You have to go through the pedestrian gate and another 2 farm gates I think it was. The Greek church loop is well marked all the way up the hill and through the gates.

  4. Hey guys So I would like to order a set of Chinese carbon clinchers for my tri bike (maybe a 60mm set), where is the best place to order from ?
  5. also sent them a mail yesterday. i think everyone is sending mails (1000 emails in their inbox) hahaha
  6. It could be from over use and certain muscle groups are not strong enough to deal with the workload. The best thing to do is rest!! and then get it checked out. I've been struggling with knee problems the last few months and that's what i was diagnosed with by a knee specialist. I've now been given weird strengthening exercises to fix the problem. When my knees started hurting i was extremely fit. Go see a bio and soon as you can.
  7. Thanks How many entries available ?
  8. still nothing ? Anyone know of someone who received an email ?
  9. how much to respray at Abel, im quite keen to do it on my road bike.
  10. I did the 5150 Bela Bela last year. Swim If you want to walk you can walk. I swam and I was one of the first age groupers out the water. No triathlete past me walking in the water believe me. Cycle Greta cycle route and quite tough. I did not experience any MTB's on the wrong side of the road. Cyclists were separated and i did not ever have to fight past a cyclist coming up the hill when i was going down it. Full road closure would be nice this year but i didnt have any problem with vehicles coming past. It is a quite road. Midlands Ultra route is way more dodgy with the cars coming past. Run Flat and hot. Loads of support through the camp site. Organisation Excellent ! Just what you expect from an Ironman supported race. Travel I drove up on the day and drove back. Not a mission and not to far either. I am going to camp or stay in a Chalet this year though and make a weekend out of it. Overall Great race and great to kick start the season!

  14. i think the SPUR burger was possibly the reason i felt like i got shot in my stomach and am still feeling the affects now.
  15. Have no clue, didn't have any GU BREW, but had a GU, burger, sandwich, coke, sandwich and muffin. Normally food will take a couple of hours to make you ill though. Was thinking it was the water sachet's but im not sure.
  16. I'm more concerned about the fact that so many competitors have fallen sick since finishing. Most of my friends and a lot of people on the hub have been struggling with a stomach bug since Monday night. I nearly booked myself into hospital my stomach cramps were so bad. Its not just one or two people but a lot!
  17. Gauteng Provincial Government who developed the cycle lanes in the cradle, have decided to build the MTB trail. This is great for all of us and at least our tax paying money is going somewhere which is really beneficial.
  18. hope its not an olympic distance in Paarl and its in fact another 70.3 distance in CT.
  19. its being announced tomorrow morning at 11h00, new tri in CT.
  20. Hi Guys Can anyone help me. I am looking to buy a seat post clamp for my 2012 B12 tri bike and also some new bar pads and the trough( the actual metal bit underneath the pad). I believe the agency for Felt has been lost but would like to know if someone still has stock somewhere ? I would be happy buying 2nd hand bar pads. The pads I'm looking for are these: http://www.felt-stuff.com/parts/tri-tt/handlebars-tapes/felt-gel-pads-tri-tt-dimpled-design.html . I am able to order online but the shipping costs are very high. I have been to Tribe, SBR and Troisport and they do not have the components. I also cant get the telephone number for anyone at Worlds View Sports who lost the agency. Any help will be appreciated.
  21. I agree with the 3 bottle theory on IMSA. In long training rides the 3 bottles will help. With a new bike comes no bottle cages and no place to put spare tube, bombs etc, so just seeing whats the best options.
  22. has anyone tried the prologue and the TT ?
  23. Any systems anyone would recommend ? Was thinking of not going for the straw option and just doing a slip out bottle system in between the tri bars.
  24. Thanks Guys. The guys at Troisport will be setting me up on it at the same time. So hopefully they get it right. Just tested the bike on a trainer and the original Felt seat felt like it was digging into me. Adamo prologue ok, whatr about the Adamo TT ?
  25. why don't you give the 50mm Blackspade clinchers a try ? Not sure about the flex tho ?
