  1. In terms of page views or the depth of engagement, South Africans are still the most active users by a long way. Page views (from SA): 47,260,352 (92.69%) Sessions (from SA): 5,537,077(78.76%) We are seeing a growing international audience in part due to the many expats around the globe, but mostly as a result of content that is internationally relevant (e.g. how-tos, event-related, reviews, etc.)
  2. We banned the subsequent account. Here are the numbers he had used: 07294761600665285851
  3. Mod note: Please refrain from off topic banter - this thread has proven to be useful in helping others avoid scams. Let's keep it on point.
  4. I'd expect it's more likely a result of the recent Facebook hack. Even if the user had not linked their Facebook to Strava, if the Facebook and Strava email was the same and their Facebook was one of the accounts affected it's theoretically possible that attackers could gain full access to their Strava with just a Facebook access token. @avatar - knowing the Strava API and looking at David's app permissions it is highly unlikely that intervals.icu could have resulted in this. The app doesn't gain any write permissions for your profile or activities.
  5. Another scammer active lately under "Barry Opperman" selling camping gear, trailers, etc. Phone number: 0814850909

  7. We are still busy finalising the points and verifying the results. Overall points are not yet reflecting.
  8. Another one who has cropped up recently targeting wanted ads: davidchristopher177@gmail.com David Christopher Definite scammer (and quite obvious from the style of his emails), please report if you receive any communication from him. Update (30/07/2018): New email address: representativeservicess@gmail.com
  9. That number was incorrect as it excluded teams with no changes made for phase 3 which only gets updated after the sub window closes. Updated now and you'll see Sagan numbers are up... no conspiracy here
  10. Are you getting an error message? All working correctly from what I can see.
  11. For this round we've left cutoff at midnight last night to rather not change the rules after the cutoff, but for the next rest day we will push the cutoff out to before the start of the next stage.
  12. We reached this consensus in the office this morning... but more to allow all those who missed the boat a last chance than to induce (more) sleepless nights.
  13. The phase 1 teams have now been pulled across to phase 2 for all those who didn't make changes.
  14. Did you make any substitutions? If not your Phase 1 team will be pulled across automatically. Edit: it's also possible your browser is displaying an out of date cached version. We'll refresh shortly to ensure this is not the case.

  16. Thanks - it was incorrectly showing your daily position, i.e. position based on points for that day only and not your cumulative points on that day. Fixed now.
  17. Some teams updated today: Team EF Education First-Drapac p/b CannondaleTeam Dimension DataUAE-Team Emirates Still to be confirmed: Direct EnergieTeam Fortuneo - SamsicCofidis, Solutions CréditsTrek - SegafredoTeam SkyTeam Sunweb
  18. As Gerald has it below - yes, the top 10 teams on day 3 will all score points. Every active rider on the team will get the same points, 50% of the usual Stage win points on offer. So there is opportunity to score some big points, e.g if you had all 8 of the winning team's riders in your squad for the TTT you score 200 points for the win, but how useful will they be on other days?
  19. With moving to the new system we had to simplify the points allocation. The above made the collation for results a bit of a nightmare... especially for Frosty who was doing it all manually at the time via an impressive array of spreadsheets. When we compared the current points system against the old system with breakaway points the outcome for 2016 would have been the same. So we cut down on the complexity. This is your guide to the points for 2018: https://fantasytour.bikehub.co.za/about The most notable difference from 2017 is the TTT points allocation. This does offer an opportunity to score some decent points (25 points per rider on the first placed team), but you'll have to balance TTT hopefuls with the remaining 20 stages...
  20. Another one picked up by an eagle-eyed member: The user "poster2018" had reused the photos and details of an existing Bike Hub user's ad at a ridiculously low price. Phone number: 0736505339 / +27736505339 The number links to numerous pets for sale ads elsewhere online - a common scam.
  21. We'd obviously be interested in the outcomes and feedback here. From our observations it seems there are a few possible factors: 1) budgets are under pressure generally affecting appetite to buy (new or used) 2) sellers are listing at inflated prices 3) pricing on new bikes is increasingly aggressive which erodes resale value On the trust side I'm sure this plays a part. It's something we're working on aggressively.
  22. Google links the number to "Adam Richardson" another known scammer alias: https://www.reportacrime.co.za/CrimeReport.aspx?ID=25544 Did you receive this via a Bike Hub ad?
  23. Here is their team... those are some serious hours in the saddle so I wouldn’t expect updates from them personally this week. Would be great to hear their story afterwards ???? http://www.cape-epic.com/teams/2018/9928/last-chance-saloon
  24. We've added a stage specific leaderboard view too: https://epicfantasyleague.co.za/leaderboard In the event of a tie we do a random draw from the tied top scorers.
  25. Nice idea, so if I've understood correctly you're saying make one set of picks for the overall win, then another set for stage wins with one change allowed each day (to stage win picks only)?
