  1. Currently there are separate logins required for Classifieds vs. Forums, however the details are synced across both accounts. Once logged in you shouldn't have to keep logging in. There was an issue with Facebook & Twitter logins for which was fixed earlier this morning.
  2. This sounds like it could be related to cached files from the old site causing issues. Clearing our your browsers downloaded files should do the trick (you can leave cookies intact, just clear images and files). Otherwise try pressing Ctrl + F5 on Windows or CMD + R on Mac to force a full refresh.
  3. Do you mean the actual box you type the chat message into? And, on desktop or a mobile device? As Nick mentions above, we're aware of the navigation issues and working on some improvements. Are you referring to the dropdown menu? Or the category drill down navigation? Thanks for the feedback and CRC suggestion.
  4. What version of edge are you using (and are you able to upgrade)? Version 16 and up should have no issues, but version 15 has some compatibility problems which will result in layout issues.
  5. At the moment you can only sort within the lowest level category, e.g. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/hardtail-mountain-bike-frames We're busy with an update to allow filtering at higher levels (where subcategories share common sizing)
  6. You may need to delete the cookies set by bikehub.co.za and login again. On chrome you can do the following: On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More > Settings. At the bottom, click Advanced. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings. Click Cookies > See all cookies and site data. At the top right, search for the website's name. To the right of the site, click Remove .
  7. We welcome the honesty and criticism. We are listening and are considering all the feedback. We would far rather have the feedback whether we like it or not, it keeps us honest and drives improvement. In our view that's fundamental to Bike Hub, whether in respect to the platform itself or the content on it, our members keep us honest and drive us to up our game. It's not just empty high fives, fist bumps and hand claps. What is helpful and appreciated, is when Hubbers are willing to give some deeper feedback and insight as apposed to "I hate it, change it back". (As you have done here @morneS555 - thank you) To bring the discussion back to the spirit of this particular thread, the changes rolled out this week are heavily Classifieds focussed. Behind the few kinks and teething issues there are some fundamental improvements which we firmly believe will make it easier to sell (and buy) on the Classifieds. From something as simple, but critical, as email deliverability (which was a major issue on the old platform) to newer features like favourites or search alerts, our aim is to improve the buyer and seller experience and ultimately improve the liquidity of the platform. Based on feedback and numbers this week it appears we've done a decent job on the seller side of the equation, but there is some work to be done on the buyer/discovery side of things. We are listening and working on improvements as we speak. Thanks all for your feedback and patience. Ps. @morneS555 you should now be able to post pictures in the other thread.
  8. No need to be sorry, I've said countless times we want feedback and acknowledge there are things we need to address. We are running on two separate systems hence the need for dual login, however accounts are shared. We knew it would come with some challenges, but it was a necessary step to begin decoupling our proprietary components from what is now a very old forum platform. It does currently make for a somewhat disjointed/inconsistent experience and we're working on streamlining the integration. Thanks for the feedback.
  9. Hi NemZA, Please could you forward the email to help@bikehub.co.za We'll take a look at the link and password issues. Thanks, Matt
  10. We've added the Forum PM inbox with notifications back to the location you'll be used to. So you shouldn't miss notifications going forward.
  11. We're working on an expanded drop down menu to include 1st and 2nd level categories, would this help address your issue? e.g. Clicking on "Buy & Sell" would give you 1 click access to the respective vintage sections (along with the other categories) Bikes Mountain Bike Road .. .. Vintage Bikes Components Drivetrain Forks .. .. Vintage Components
  12. I'm interested to hear what gives you this perception? Looking at the data we're certainly not seeing this. So far this week 990 new ads have been posted. Monday saw 360 new ads posted, that's the highest daily number of ads in the last 30 days. Tuesday and Wednesday saw 267 and 246 new ads posted, beating our 30 day daily average of 230 new ads. We're working on a few things to address some of the common navigation complaints.
  13. At the moment DH bikes are included in Dual Suspension bikes, you can filter based on riding style: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/dual-suspension-bikes However, based on feedback from some DH users we'll split it out into it's own category (along with adding DJ & SS categories under Bikes > Mountain Bikes
  14. Unfortunately older versions of Safari along with Internet Explorer and older Samsung Browsers won't display the site correctly. We are looking at options to support at least some of these, Safari in particular.
  15. Thanks, it will take a couple of days to iron out the kinks, but we really do appreciate all the feedback. Although we had weeks of beta testing with a small pool of users there's nothing like real world feedback. Regarding the forums, other than a slight visual change to the menu they're currently unchanged. We do have a long awaited update in the pipeline for the forums expected in early 2020. This is just the first step in the process towards that. The forum update does improve image uploads, but we'll have to check on whether copy-paste is supported.
  16. Thanks, it should have worked with exactly the same details but glad you're logged in. If anyone has similar login issues please contact us via support@bikehub.co.za of hit Contact Support in the footer to initiate a support ticket/chat.
  17. This should be added today
  18. Thanks for the feedback. We are looking at bulk edit / management features among other features focussed at "power users". This update is really just the beginning so you can expect many feature additions and improvements in the weeks and months to come. Thanks for the feedback ChrisF and your understanding. Bike Hub has remained largely unchanged for many years so we do appreciate that it will be a system shock to regulars. We are looking at options to allow broader road filtering, e.g. View all road components at the top level. Did you previously browse in the top level Road category, or Road Components? We're looking at some streamlining of the ad layout on home page.... on mobile in particular it does make for a long scroll. On chat messages, we can include the actual message in the email. One of the issues we found previously was the many people replied to the email notification expecting it to reply to the chat but it ended up going nowhere and left the discussion hanging. Not including the actual message will help address that, but we've had a number of requests to include it. We'll work on that. In future we plan to allow seamless replies to chats (i.e. via email or via chat on the site). Thanks for the feedback, could you please share a link to an ad which is giving trouble. We'll take a look. Are there specific views you'd want to see, e.g. "everything MTB" or mountain bike components? It should work seamlessly with your usual Bike Hub login. We'll take a look at possible issues with your account. Thanks for the feedback. The forum has not yet been upgraded, but we're working towards updating the forum platform in early 2020. That will make your mobile experience far friendlier.
  19. You can filter by discipline with the specific component sub category, e.g. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/complete-groupsets The Discipline filtering isn't currently available within the broader Components category, however this is something we aim to address.
  20. If you click on the avatar displayed on the left you'll go to the last post. Clicking the topic title will take you to the last unread post.
  21. It was neat. This should be working as per the 'old' site tomorrow. We're investigating options to support filtering at higher category levels
  22. We'll do our best to come up with a solution for this.
  23. IE 11 is unfortunately not currently supported. Microsoft themselves suggest users do not rely on IE as their main browser, but for the time being still support it for legacy/enterprise systems. We are looking at solutions to offer IE support without compromising the performance and experience for those on more modern browsers. In the interim, are you able to use another browser like MS Edge / Chrome / Firefox?
  24. Thanks for the feedback. We're working on the image display issue as we speak
  25. We are seeing some issues with advert and image display in certain browsers which will not be helping your experience at present. Can you share some detail on specific areas or features which aren't working for you?
