  1. Tx Mamparra. Got these but now not sure it was a good idea, the ipod dong they gave me is not compattible so I have to get another one. http://www.digitalplanet.co.za/images/stock/large/PG118LARGE.jpg BTW, has anyone EVER tried to use BT headset on a laptop with XP2 on? If you got it right, youre a geek genuis, tell me how.
  2. I guess what is a real pain in the a#* is when you get behind somebody on a single track and he/she cant hear you asking to pass cause the music plays so loud, but if you play music soft you still knows what is happening around you
  3. Not sure how one connects coming down on a slippery rock to listening to music? Anyway, the husband shares your views
  4. With my last crash my BlueEye (connects phone via bluetooth to IPod) was smashed, so I have some shopping to do. Ive heard you now get blue tooth earphones doing the same, but all wireless. Where can I get, or any other suggestions.
  5. Always thought they are dodgy and it was just a matter if time, roomers that theyve used pirot parts. Wouldnt be surprised if they go bust, airlines dont have much cash and cant afford to be grounded, pity for staff though they have good pilots
  6. Its fairly simple to me, keep life as simple as you can, and unless you are pro you having NOTIN to prove to anybody, so do what works for you. Its all comes down to traction, with a 4x4 you spend money on fancy suspention systems etc to keep traction, why not on MTB? Ive been through the whole hog, started with cheap bottom of the range hard tail. Always had fun but kept on upgarading etc etc. After getting a real decent hardtail, I still ended up buggered after 40km's. Then I put a peg in the sand and spend real cash on "exactly what I want, after having pounded my way through MTBR.Com etc, ended up getting v good frame and building good h.tail components over, now, I am not looking back. Bottomline, unless you go pro you have nothing to prove to anybody, get yourselves the one and only bike that does it for you, go for the top of your affordability "curve", i.e. get the best you can afford, thats the bottomline, but will be well worth it. NB - consider ongoing maintenance costs.... After all said and done, I would rec dual susp, but ONLY if you can afford a mid/top range one.

  13. well, my thinkin goes like this i , like many others, work in an office complex there are many a cycling dude and dudesses around in that complex for a start, nobody feels like cleaning and lubing a bike after a ride, and funny, the harder the ride, usually the dirtyer the bike, not so?? so, you put yer bike on the rack, drive 2 office on monday leave yr car in office car park when u get back end of day bike on rack but.... cleaned and lubed!! thats a start, from there normal services etc must work HOW MUCH SHALL YA PAY FOR THIS??
  14. Thanks Donno what sealed bearings are all about but I take the advise, look like Im heading to the bike shop, this alignment thing sounds complicated (where can one get to do a propoer bike mechanic course, i.e. not the ususal girl fix puncture stuff, but one that teaches you everything, like how to fix untrue wheels and replace BB's and stuff like this ( I am working on my second career)
  15. can you clever guys please tell me, my Sram X0 jocky wheel squeeks like mad, is it done and over with it? Two weeks ago I (girl alone) removed it, dismantled it, put gries all over everything that look as if it turns, and it was quiet for a while, until the next mud pool. is it time to replace or shall we slap some more gries on?
