  1. Thanks for the replies guys. Been at physio now for 2 weeks, stopped running and focus a lot on my posture... Pain is much better, but still feel it at the end of the day. Considering using a standing desk at wok from time to time!
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumbar_hyperlordosis Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? I recently started having severe lower back and left hamstring pains. Thought it was because of poor flexibility so tried a lot of stretching. After not improving I went to a doctor who sent me for X-rays and confirmed that I have Lumbar hyperlordosis. This was pinching the nerves in my back causing the pain. I am currently at a physio who helps with exercises and also posture etc. but would love any other advice? He has prohibited me from running and I can only cycle very upright (no tuck or drops)... I started a new job at the start of the year which has me sitting 10 hours a day. My thinking is this combined with training on a TT bike may have caused it.
  3. I rate 3 Towers very high...
  4. Good topic. I was set on getting a Tacx - for the multiplayer, google etc. But reading this topic and http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/10/2013-trainer-recommendations.html# - I am considering the KICKR. BTW - I have an older Flow currently (t1680) but the head unit is faulty. Anyone know if I can buy something like this (http://www.futurumshop.nl/tacx-upgrade-i-flow-t1925.phtml) and then have the same functionality as a Bushido?
  5. Wonder how light they can do a reliable and safe build, capable of racing a tour?
  6. Both 24 hole. I think they do not want to work with the rims - told me they have build them before and they broke. And they cant get spokes... Not really impressed, but I guess I'll ma just have to get someone else
  7. I have purchased a set of 27.5" carbon rims which I would like to build my XTR hubs - 24 holes (currently 26" wheels) onto. I took it to Spoke Works but they say they can't do the build. Anybody know of someone who will be willing to assist?
  8. +1 And whats gonna happen to the driver? It's a sad reality...
  9. Assos are really good, I also see the "entry" level Uno as the best buy… But at the price I prefer to limit them to long (3hrs +) rides, with Craft, Mavic and Specialized doing duty for shorter rides...

    Triathlon ......

I had the same idea, but there were loads of TT bikes at the 94.7...

    Triathlon ......

Good idea - thanks! Wish there was a couple of 70.3 distances to get some good rides in for IM... As far as I know it's basically Midlands Ultra and IM 70.3 Any road races where one can get some TT time in (ideally a "double like the 94.7...)
  12. Nee wat, gaan maar aan - daar by jou?
  13. I prefer Hammer for long events because of the protein...
  14. Sorry to hear. I have a pair and they are still going strong after 3 years - hopefully this is an isolated problem...
  15. I am looking for 2x 27.5" carbon rims (drilled with 24 holes) - got a quote from Carbonbicyclewheel for $327 (this includes shipping). Any opinions or better prices?
  16. So I lost the case clip of my GoPro during the 3 Towers. I contacted Omnico to purchase a new clip. They responded that this part is not for sale separately, but they will be happy to send me one The next day I had 2 clips as well as GoPro stickers delivered to my door! (in Witbank nogals!!!) Big up to them for really great service!
  17. Thanks Tumbleweed, I contacted them but they dont sell the rims seperately. Think I might go with the light bicycle ones mentioned above... Anyone have an opiniion on them? Thx!
  18. Anybody maybe seen anything yet?
  19. Thanks... Those are nice, but for that price I'll rather build a new set Crests with Hope hubs. Also found these, but still a bit expensive and worried about the strength
  20. So I was planning on building my current 26" XTR wheels over on 650b rims. Got a shock when I started counting the spokes and only got 24.... Really expected more. Had a look around and can't seem to find any rims that will work. Also wondering if building 24 hole 650b wheels will be reliable... Any comments please?
  21. I know it says MTB - only have a road one.... At the Jock this year, felt strong after pushing my mate up the hill:
  22. Thx Naas - will give you a shout if I cant fond one...
