this sounds like they knew your place....where do you live?
  3. there was a chap that lost control of his bike in the gutter in line with Zonnekus Primary and fell in front of a truck, this happened on a saturday afternoon. then there was the cyclist who was killed on the bridge just past the lagoon very early on a sunday morning. what others have died in the past 9 years? please be specific. a prominent ppa member fell and broke bones dodging a truck in P eiland, this happened on the weekend and a Cycles Direct member was hit by a vehicle also on their weekend rush to Chappies.
  4. do you mean to tell me that its goin to take over a year to repair the stretch past Kalk Bay to Fish Hoek

  10. tis true , i'm not pulling anybodies leg
  11. make it a written law - other licensed riders ride seeded cats
  12. go read it again - he used amphetemines 3 times in crits and was amazed at the effect it has on his performance. also go and read "Bad Blood" by Jeremy Whittle. but if you'r a Lance disciple then nothing you will read will make a difference
  13. i've noticed that the CPI team car is prominent in some fotos. are they driving the race commissaire or are they there as back up for thier riders?
  14. both groups ride their bikes to the coffee shop, nice and social bunch
  15. it's true - for Junior/U23's /Elite. The other categories are to be held in May. but i wonder who are hosting them. can you confirm Groot Lem
  16. why don't you contact Cycles Direct in CT ,they seem big into Specialised, maybe they've got some clout with supplier.
  17. back up vehicles were not allowed between the R60 and Robertson Circle, one team from from Cyclelab choose to ignore this and created a feeding on the way to Robertson. eish, if all the other teams did as they pleased then the PPA would be again forced to move to another venue.
  18. this training ride has been cancelled until further notice.
  19. It's a rule for all............ Typical dinosaur thinking. Stuck in the 1920 s mindset. Tell' date=' me what differance dos it make??? What next, no finger nail polish or lip stick.? [/quote'] not really - dinoaur thinking. whn soccer players started wearing "cycling shorts" under their shorts Fifa said ok as long as its the same colour as the shorts you are wearing. and this goes for u7's to internationals. now look at rugby, i think Luke Watson wears black undershorts, Habana white, with white armwarmers, it just looks *** and unprofessional. there is nothing worse than seeing some prop that has taken the physio's scissors and cut off the arms of his rugby jersey. so cycling have rules that say you must wear a cycling jersey that has arms. nuthing new, its just a rule.
  20. never seen or heard of them until 5 minutes ago. they are as obscure as Ryan Shekler is famous.
  21. bought myself a mtn bike the other day. reckon a few rides for a month or so would make me climb "like a cycling god" without buying the DVD. rock up at Magic and into the hills i ride. passed a few okes up at the zig zag section and i couldn't understand why they are pedalling so fast. then i realised my bikes got a triple chainring. followed some uncles up to the top and then they took off down this little path. battled to stay with them. i was scared, i didn't have a kidney belt on and the bike rattled so much i thought it would fall apart. must get new handlebar grips , i squeezed mine so hard my fingers are touching bare metal. we got to a little bridge and the oomies dissapeared over it and into the bush. i thought, must do a bit more climbing so i turned around and did the circuit again. the little path thingy is good fun once you get to know all the turns and ditches. this Sunday went to the fun ride at richwood. i din't enjoy it at all. too many people and they ride so slow. my glasses misted up on the 1st climb. we must of been going about 5 kph. the other climbs everyone walked. and they had all this sandy stretches. not my idea of mtb biking. we should of just ridden from Table View to the Milnerton lagoon and back. i'll stick to magic f and have fun.
  22. speak to EPCA.......btw what do you want CSA to do? PE = no soccer team , no rugby team ,no cricket team worth speaking of. you guys must get off YOUR bums and do something about it.
