  1. And bring BISCUITS woman!!! P.S. Told you you should have changed your name to T - bird...teagirl...
  2. Dont stress Bos, we're good mates..just sparring I think your advice is good though, but I must admit i prefer tubeless all round, and i dont weigh much more than T - Girl. Just cant be faffed with tubes if i can avoid it. T, you have some SERIOUS thinking to do with all the advice here...good luck deciding!
  3. yeah yeah..remember Ive SEEN those 'guns'...if you can call them that...
  4. thats because youre blonde
  5. The chocolate one is AWESOME! I have never been a banana fan, and their other two flavours are very bananary. I either eat choc FL/or oats, 1 x boiled egg, 1 x caffeine works like a charm everytime lately Ive also tried my oats/yogurt/condensed milk recipe, thats also delish
  6. Le Tour is world class, and Im glued to every moment. Just wish on the epic we could see more than a lame highlight. Agreed, some of the local races are poor, but on a big one with huge international players, you would think the coverage and local footage would be better...just disappointing thats all.
  7. From what i remember last year, all the overseas guys get WAAAYYY more epic coverage then we do. they said something this year about a few more days coverage but who knows. Coverage of local cycling like the Epic friggin sucks
  8. Oh boy you've started something now!!! These things look AMAZING! definitely going to test one of these out on our Sat ride. Thanks Garfield!!
  9. waffles sound friggin awesome. We've done honey and pnb in a wrap before and that didnt leak out, but i reckon if you had to stash it near your camelbak bladder (or in pouch nearby) the icecream or cream should hold up well
  10. *wolf whistle* those are sweet!
  11. supposed to be holla, but now thats moved to sunday, so guess its training in the cane...
  12. a sticker would be great...can hide the rust on the car
  13. Funny you say that about the CO2 thing, I heard something about that recently too. I dont know what to believe anymore. Trying to do some road riding during the week to wear my tyres out a bit more and then will replace them when theyre flat/or theyve completely separated depending on what comes first. Maxxis are a bunch of wallys, my husband had the same problem and they also gave him a long story.
  14. Tgirl it sounds like you need to get back on the MTB with us, Zonker is KILLING me with intervals on the road (sprints etc). When you get yours back, come do a 'road day' on the mtb for a change, youll probably find you are WAY stronger than you think...and anyways...I need a mate to help catch old muscle legs on the circuit!
  15. Have you tried chain reaction? they sell the bars, so Im sure they prob stock them. Never seen them here.
  16. We use the same thing (the zarms not the juice) for long rides and they work very well. but mine always got squashed in the camelbak. A mate (shes pretty good with these things) reckons a wrap has the same amount of carbs as 2 slices of bread, so now i use pnut b and honey/syrup in a wrap. Takes up less space, doesnt get squished and has the same effect as my old zarms - and its a nice change from bread!
  17. I used to stop often when i first started mountain biking. Now i try to make it to the end of a race without stopping (unless its Hill2Hill, 105kms with no stop is impossible!) I think theyre good things to have because that banana/coke/spud can be a lifesaver if youre having a bad race.
  18. I must admit i tried those and found them extremely uncomfortable, but i have a mate who rides in a pair and she loves them. I ride in cape storm and will never try anything else. I cant afford 1 or 2 gorillas for a pair of pants so i stick with cape storm. theyre a little more than first ascent (i think a 100 or so bucks) but they are my first choice.
  19. I have both, I actually prefer my normal ones as a pee stop in bibs is a mission!
  20. I ride on a Serfas Carma. Not the most pimping looking, but its comfortable and didnt cost the earth (not that that was a big factor, I wanted comfort more than anything else - and mine doesnt look like a couch) . Specialised do some pretty hot looking womans spec saddles and they are good for the butt (according to my mate).
  21. waxing is the way forward.
  22. referring to the earlier post... I can take it that youre a BMW driver then?
